Title: S2R1000 Showa Fork Spring Question. Post by: ICON on January 27, 2010, 08:41:54 AM Howdy all, this is a simple question. Has anyone here installed the Fork Spring Kit by Traxxion Dynamics? If so what is your experience with them and do you have experience with other setups as well for comparison purposes. They said it comes with two springs and spacers for $110.

Post by: mendoje on January 27, 2010, 04:51:31 PM The spacer is just a length of pvc pipe. Notice the description, it says "spacer material", not spacers. On installation, you (or the installer) cuts a couple pieces at whatever length is needed to give you the amount of sag you are looking for. In other words, you are going to custom make the spacers as required by what you are trying to achieve. It's basically cut, install, measure sag. If you dont get it right the first time, make another shorter or longer, take apart, reinstall new spaceers, measure sag again. If you run out of pvc pipe, go to your garage scrap bin for more, or to home depot and buy a lifetime supply for a few bucks. It's the way its done, not just Traxxion. Jeff

Honstly, any well known brand will be fine. Its not as if you were racing the bike, or riding balls out on the street like nightrider ( unless you are)
If you can afford the matris catrdige, go for it. Do the best you can afford. |
