Title: And the Monster is Sold! Post by: CairnsDuc on January 28, 2010, 11:07:28 PM Well the Monster is soon to go to a new home in Melbourne, The new owner is just sorting out some Money transfers
It will be a shame to see it go, It has been fun and a great learning experience, but I will say the book has not been closed, for the time being I will be bikeless and restricted to a Cage for a while, but anyone who knows me will tell you I don't stay bikeless for long, So while the Monster will soon be leaving, this means I can keep an eye out for my next project. I'm not sure what it will be, maybe a Multistrada or another Monster, maybe a different brand (Heaven forbid!!) This does not mean I will be leaving the Forum however (You can't get rid of me that easily) I enjoy this Forum to much and the great people on it. I will be putting up a list of some Ducati bits I have left over (Tools, Shim kit and a few other bits) I want to sell. I just wanted to thank everyone on this great forum with all the help and advice that many of you have offered over time I have been here. Hopefully I can help return the favour while I continue to hang around and bother Everyone. And now the bike is on it's way out the Door, I can Concentrate on moving Interstate (To Yellow Meanie Country :) ) One book closes, another opens. :) Title: Re: And the Monster is Sold! Post by: stopintime on January 28, 2010, 11:11:15 PM It will be missed, brake upgrades and all ;)
Looking forward to your next project [thumbsup] Title: Re: And the Monster is Sold! Post by: CairnsDuc on January 28, 2010, 11:14:31 PM I should talk to the new owner, when I'm passing through Melbourne in a few months time,
I should ask if he'll let me call in and pay Homage, and listen the Rumble of the Termi's one more time [laugh] Title: Re: And the Monster is Sold! Post by: Betty on January 28, 2010, 11:39:17 PM To Yellow Meanie Country :) So you are either moving onto a boat or moving to Tassie. I have heard there is a cheap Monster for sale down there ... could be a gentle upgrade ... only ridden by a friendly redneck, centre of the tyres are practically brand new. Sad to hear the Monster is going, but now you can focus on the move. Title: Re: And the Monster is Sold! Post by: Spider on January 28, 2010, 11:45:59 PM yeah, great idea! Buy Bazz's....
yours was special.....ohlins, gold brembos....nice! :'( (now I now what it's like being an old lady in an old country town....everyone is moving and and I'm left here in my rocking chair with warm memories) Title: Re: And the Monster is Sold! Post by: Betty on January 28, 2010, 11:59:35 PM If you were to 'pick-up' Bazz's bike I am sure it would help with your transition to the Tasmanian way of life.
The incestuousness of 'having' a family member's baby ... well, you should fit in nicely. OK so that was all pretty crook but I am trying to help here, so give me a break Title: Re: And the Monster is Sold! Post by: Big T on January 29, 2010, 12:00:28 AM Empathize with you CairnsDuc........
Is good that the Duke is sold, cash is in the bank and she is going to a good home...... [thumbsup] Still a sad day though when your pride and joy moves out of home...... :'( :'( Looks like my next ride will be a Ducct110.... ;D [cheeky] Title: Re: And the Monster is Sold! Glad you're not leaving us completely. And the Tassie boys and girls will have to tempt you with their ride pics so that you won't be able to bear being bikeless for too long. Title: Re: And the Monster is Sold! Post by: bikeless on January 29, 2010, 02:01:04 AM yes it hurts to watch some one ride away on your bike but the moonshine helps [cheeky]

I hear that happens when you get older [cheeky] And the Tassie jokes have been coming thick and fast since I told everyone at work. [laugh] Title: Re: And the Monster is Sold!
