Title: Carb Help Post by: madmatt on January 30, 2010, 12:42:17 AM Anyone on here know their way around a carb (specifically 2001 CR250)? Experiencing some bogging/idle problems, might be as simple as adjusting the idle/air screw. That said, I have no idea what this bike's service history is and it's probably time for a good cleaning/adjustment. I've recently decided to give the bike some TLC.
I've read the blogs and frankly the carb discussion make my head spin. I was thinking I could perhaps observe an expert for this maiden voyage. Beer/lunch on me. I can bring it to you, or we can work in my garage (lots o tools). Buler? Buler? (note: the bike is currently getting suspension reworked and should be back home by next weekend) Title: Re: Carb Help Post by: GregP on January 30, 2010, 06:59:53 PM I have the service manual if that helps. I bought the manual with the intention of doing a valve check and carb clean myself and after taking the tank off decided to leave it to the pros. Had it done for $200 instead of mucking it up myself.
