Title: wiring harness pinout
Post by: svr on February 02, 2010, 03:35:06 PM
anyone have a pinout of the instrument cluster pinout for a 99 m900?  I've got a couple manuals that don't appear to be 99 specific, and there's some conflicting info.  I'm installing speedo/tach with shift light and some indicators aren't working.  i hate working on all things electrical.

If you can find a pre '02 owners manual pdf file it has a complete wiring diagram you can zoom into and see details on.

In fact, I got mine printed out on a 4 foot x 3 foot plotter, and it now hangs on my garage wall.

If you can't find the exact year, from what I remember, the earlier models ( < ' 00) had the "idiot light" (stand down) warning light wired up, and the later models (pre '02 with immobilizer) had the tach signal wire hooked up.

But otherwise they were identical, with the exception of that one wire swap. So if you can find a later model wiring harness diagram it'll work for you.

If you can't find the owners manual on the web, shoot me a PM with your address, and I can e-mail it to you.
