isn't all this on the the "new sponsor (and likely running "stuff" updates) thread?
SPAMMER SPAMMER SPAMMER
lots of huge pics of nice gear but it's in the other thread, must we be bombarded with multiple threads with the same advertisements?
paul.
the title clearly states what is in here, I will use this thread to keep updating our products
so you deleted the pics from the other thread and will use this one to keep everyone updated on what you have to offer? that's a better way to do it, has your name as the thread starter. will you reply to specific requests for stuff here too?
paul.
yeah, better named thread, let the other 2 die and that this one can be the 'live' one.
I need a gear indicator that reads:
1: keep her down
2: when do we get to the good stuff?
3: are there cops around
4: oh mamma!
5: yippee
6: speed demon!

I'll see what happens on the ECU front for me.
I am told mine is not an ECU problem but if it might solve my problem it could be the way to go.

Blasphemy Dos.
But atm I could be persuaded to sell the S4Rs for one that's running.
Dos, you NEED 135hp for the 5km trip to work, the 2 valver wouldn't work. Don't even think it.

Damn you ;) you're really teasing me, as a fanatic old style Monster lover.
Exhaust looks fantastic [thumbsup] Db killers? Seems so.
Do you know which rearsets those are - and if they come with passenger pegs option?
Hi Stop, they are the MetalTech rearsets (guy who owns that 1100) .. he is making a number of variations and tells me in the next few months he will have them with passenger pegs, and to suit the S2R/S4R/S4RS monsters, HyperMotard, Multi etc ..
I am pretty sure there are DB killers as they are listed as Omologato and not race, which usually means db killers..

Yeah, in Italy there's no way around "Omologato". Db-killers are actually visible in the picture. My question then is, can they be removed? No need to research - a new bike is not in my near future.
If you talk to the MetalTech guy, can you find out what kind of adjustability he's planning? I have my CycleCat rearsets about 40mm back and 10mm down compared to stock pegs. It would be nice to have options besides GillesTooling if I ever should need to replace mine. I'm also curious to know if he's adressing the possible binding issues that came up with the Gilles'.

I will ask about the DB killers, as am sure they would be removable, but nice to know anyway..
As for the Rearsets, the owner of Metaltech has them on his own bike, and is a very smart cookie when it comes to design and manufacturing, his main business is producing titanium hips and knee replacements .. i will check the adjustability with him, and take a photo of a set later...

I see a point somewhere in the not too distant future where this thread is going to be the undoing of any last shred of fiscal restraint I have. Damn you bling junkies for getting me addicted. [bang]
i tend to look at these products as being functional first, form second.. it's easier to justify that way.. ;D
An update from Metaltech last night with some new products, also a better image of the Monster rearsets, (currently 696/1100, soon to suit S2R/S4R/S4RS) and a mechanical drawing showing the adjustments etc and parts, which are all available as spares..

impressive stuff! ;D be interested when they are ready for S2R! [thumbsup]
Rough measurement taken from the picture tells me that even if placed in the last/rear holes, the pegs will not be further back than the stock S*R pegs. If these are to offer the advantage of a rearward peg position, MetalTech needs to make a longer base plate. Unless of course the strength and beauty is enough by itself ;)
The drawing shows a part # 1. It's the vibration dampening rubber thing. It doesn't say "originale", but is it? Either way, to me it shows that the manufacturer is serious about funcionality [thumbsup]
Another idea - do you think he'd be interested in making kickstands - longer versions?
I will ask Metaltech to confirm the adjustments on the rearsets, and if he is interested in possibly making a kickstand..
Definataly interested for the s4r and price. How long till their ready ?
I am told late March they will be ready, not taking into account any delays they may have, but they are pretty good in terms of manufacturing and delivery.. price would most likely be the same as the 696/1100 rearsets, which is currently $649.00
Thanks for that. They look tough , no nonsence and simple. Is there a web site so i can get up dates ?I think im going to go them when ready !

Oz,
Could you see if Metaltech would consider making adjustable replacement brake and shifter pedals that can be mounted on the OEM rearset. I've got MFW Vario Adjustable footpeg mounts which I am very happy with but am looking into possible options to replace the OEM pedals. I have an '07 S2R800 btw.
Thanks
Hi, will ask the question, but i think as he is most likely making rearsets to suit these bikes soon, unless they are interchangeable he would need numbers to just make shifter/brake pedals.. but will ask anyway no worries

1. New MSicA alluminium alloy used with a special treatment in the alloy (DTI, double treatment inside), allows for an incredible reduction in inertia and weight vs. competitors. 35% Mass Reduction compared to OEM wheels, 15% Mass Reduction compared to leading aftermarket forged wheels. A weight savings of 2.5 - 3.5 lbs per set over the leading aftermarket wheels.
2. Strongest team of experienced engineers in designing wheels using special and exclusive FEM design simulation and calculation. This design group was part of one of the leading Italian magnesium and aluminum wheel builders for many years.
3. Wheels respect the most severe fatigue standards required by the market. All testing carried out in-house and to destruction to be absolutely sure of strength values.
4. Front wheels for the most popular top race bike applications don't have a screw and disk carrier but monolithic hub.
5. All wheels are equipped with special oil seals to protect and increase the life of bearings and other accessories. Also sprocket carrier is constructed with a special design avoiding any dust entering into the hub for better utilization and longer life of all components inside.
6. Wheels are supplied in black and gold anodized colors. Special orders for double finishing color or with polish or alluminium finishing are available.
7. All wheel accessories are constructed out of the highest possible quality materials ( Ergal 7075) and have a black anodized finish.

9. A special cush system (AST - anti shock technology) is utilized inside the sprocket carrier system for double sided swingarm bikes. Through the use of special components and it's materials working at a high temperature, the result is better final drive operation which leads to increased life of chain & sprocket.

Ah, G'day Oz. Found you over here too!
I'm going to have to do a list for the M696 that I'm taking racing in July. I'll call you, but in advance, I'll be needing a set of rearsets and the engine protection that's needed for racing. Probably similar stuff to what I bought from you for the 848???
Hey I like the aluminium case saver for the wet clutch models - will that pass scrutineering?
8)
hey Spot, welcome ... am sure the alloy case covers would be ok for racing as they protect the clutch area... might order some in and have a look ??
will have to see if the other case protectors will fit .. have carbon bits and rearsets etc ....

Hi Guys
We have organised a BST Birthday sale to celebrate our appointment as BST Distributor for Australia, 15% off the RRP until August 15. This is a one off deal, and a 25% deposit is required. Once all orders are in we will place an order on BST and the wheels they don't have in stock will go into production (6-8 weeks), balance will be payable when stock lands in Australia prior to delivery to you..
The list attached is for Street Wheels - Single Sided Swingarms listed as Offset, Double sided as Conventional. The Wheels are priced as a set and conventional sets come with the sprocket carrier (see info below) so all you need is a sprocket.. we will be looking at carrying these soon as well..
Any questions please ask, PM me for order details.
Please feel free to offer this to friends and associates, and dealers are also welcome as we will have dealers in place also.
BST Conventional Rear wheels are supplied with the BST Sprocket Carrier.
You will need a sprocket to fit this Carrier:
Details: PCD of 5 hole = 100 mm
ID = 76 mm

well due to the reduced rotating mass this would mean you would be using less fuel and therefore reducing your carbon footprint??? ??? ??? ;D
Sounds like a valid reason - carbon wheels=fuel savings! [thumbsup]

Isn't using carbon wheels sequestering carbon? It's being retained in the wheel instead of being released into the atmosphere. Bit like turning wood into furniture rather than burning it. Another tick for the environment.

Will be after a carbon 'no chop' tail tidy soon and maybe a belly pan. The other items you already stock, clutch pressure plate, sprocket guards ect.
Watch out DukeZ, the fun police might ping you on your avatar!? [roll]
Personally I reckon its rather artistic in its context and composition!! [evil] [drool] [cheeky]
im interested in belly pan, no chop tail tidy and belt covers for an 800.
will the clutch covers u make for the other dry clutch models fit the the wet clutch m800?
is it possible to have cf parts made in the satin finish like my remus pipes?
Cheers Clint
Hi Clint , am in the process of looking at a source for some of these products....
The clutch covers are for dry clutch only... and it is possible to have carbon finished in a satin or polished finish, depends on the manufacturer.. let me ask the question...

QuoteBREATHING LIFE INTO YOUR ENGINE !!
MWR airfilters are specific performance foam airfilters for motorcycles handmade in the Netherlands.
MWR airfilters are made of top quality materials ( FR Foam , stainles steel and aluminium )
Unlike all other foam filters MWR airfilters are made entirely from this special Fire Resistant (FR) foam
MWR airfilters are continuously developed and improved trackside with MWR supported teams around the world
MWR airfilters are not just copies of the OEM filter but in fact specific designs to enhance the performance in the best possible way for your bike and to also offer the best possible protection from dirt and dust for your engine.
Due to MWR airfilters being entirely constructed from foam and having no rubber mountings or mouldings MWR are able to utilise nearly 100% of the available area as filter element. Once again this helps improve air flow and increase performance.
To help protect your engine MWR has specifically made biodegradable airfilteroil. This MWR filteroil is made in Holland and is completely biodegradable not only protecting the environment but also your engine either for heavy duty (off road) usage or for long term normal (road/race) usage.
This biodegradable filteroil is also completely fire proof.
All MWR filters are shipped out pre-oiled and ready to install.

working on it.. the main problem i am facing is finding a manufacturer who is of the quality we demand for our carbon, seems there's a lot around for the monsters, but is also a lot of rubbish i am not comfortable with selling. Pricing is also an issue, as is no good us buying in carbon that's too expensive and it sits on the shelf, and with the AUD the way it is, seems most are happy to buy overseas anyway.. but i will keep searching, have not forgotten i assure you..

What has happened to the website? I keep getting told this -
Reported Attack Page!
This web page at www.carbon-imports.com.au (//http://) has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences.
It's been hacked and I'm guessing is under repair.
I am sure we will hear when it's safe to return.
Thanks for the reply Matty. I thought it might have only been me.
Thanks Matt, not been hacked, but attacked by a virus, my web guys tell the virus is on the hosting company's server, the hosting company say no way.. anyway, they nearly have it fixed..
Sorry to hear that, I am sure it will be back up quickly.

thanks for that,
What does the specification 'race bike only' mean - I'm assuming no power unless engine is running?
Race bikes generally don't have headlights/taillights and extra electricals drawing current

I could nearly be persuaded to sell the S4R and get a silver M1100 and a QuatD ;D
OK, so after thinking about it for nearly 2 years, I reckon I'm ready to bite the bullet on one of these for my S4R (can't rush into these decisions).
One question first ..... Do they have removable baffles?

Looks like it.
Thanks Rowdy,
Hmmm, seem's the earlier model didn't but later ones did, I hope Carbon Imports have the later ones. The original ones sound pretty quiet on youTube, can't have that!!!
Is OZDucati still Lurking on here? Maybe a PM is in order....
