Title: 696 and 1100 display color

so a while ago i posted a topic about making my 696 display color light blue, or white like a 1098 or similar, instead of orange.

now i see the 1100 has this! anyone here know ho to sodder in ne leds? is this possible?

Bump

I just got a pm from an 1100 owner saying his gauge is orange too. I saw a pic recently of an 1100 with a blue / white display color.

Anyone know anything about this?

I will do it of someone can confirm it is indeed LED's that light these guages... To me it looks like mine is a lit LCD display?? I'm not an electronics expert...

It's an LCD display and I've got a cracked one that no longer works to prove it.  >:(

interesting. so if you could interpret the signal you could use any lcd monitor?

you know what. what you see at WDW will be the finished product. i promise. after that. it's another bike. maybe a track bike. then a sport tourer. and then. and then...
