Title: VIN Stickers Post by: The Bearded Duc on February 04, 2010, 01:13:49 PM This might be a silly question, but is it ok to remove the VIN stickers and manufactures' stickers off the frame?
Title: Re: VIN Stickers Post by: Spidey on February 04, 2010, 01:17:26 PM The silver stickers? Yup. Keep the one under your seat just in case. 'specially in CA.

Title: Re: VIN Stickers Post by: The Bearded Duc on February 04, 2010, 03:14:52 PM you still have that sticker on your bike? ditch it already Yeah, I know right!!! I just started some painting and realized how unsightly they actually are! Figured I needed to leave them on the bike here in Cali, with all their stupid laws and such >:(Title: Re: VIN Stickers Post by: 1KDS on February 04, 2010, 03:16:51 PM Yeah, I don't know about CA and all their bs
Title: Re: VIN Stickers Post by: The Bearded Duc on February 04, 2010, 03:23:34 PM I guess I'll be fine if there is a vin on the motor, the other sticker is just production info. And it seems the sticker on the underside of the seat has the same info, pretty much?!
Title: Re: VIN Stickers Post by: Duck-Stew on February 04, 2010, 03:35:30 PM Removing my stickers cost me some extra $ and a trip to the CHP for a vin inspection which was hairy as my bike was running illegal pipes and barely legal other equipment. It passed, but it would have been better if the stickers we repositioned somewhere else.....say under the seat. The CA DMV peeps didn't know where the sticker was supposed to be, only that it HAD to have a sticker on it.
