Title: What the heck was that?
Post by: mostrobelle on February 04, 2010, 07:04:27 PM
I'm thoroughly convinced that the weather people are all on drugs--bad drugs.  I read last night and thought I heard something this morning about "30% chance of showers".  What's this 30% stuff?  The only thing that's 30 is the percentage of me that stayed sort of dry tonight on the commute home.  And the ride over the bridge was one of the more interesting I've ever had.  Where'd this wind come from?  "Squishy" describes how I felt after getting off the bike.  Yes, I was in full leathers.  Yes, they have perforations.  No, I did not bring any rain gear.  OK, I'm done.  Carry on. [coffee]

My weather people yesterday said 30% chance of showers this morning climbing to 90% of hard rain this evening.   So I drove in to work.  My weather people > your weather people.

P.S.  Didn't we already establish in a prior thread that you're a 'tard, especially when it comes to rain?

Wow. A thread about weather forecasters being wrong. That's...original. ;D

I had to explain to my 4 year old daughter the other day that the weatherman does not actually control the weather.

In other news, with everyone's pregnant doging for the last few weeks today was the first day that actually, really and truly sucked on the ride home.

I loves me my KTM. It provides me with the true 'tard on 'tard action that I crave.

No, I tried to establish that I *was* a retard and you kept fighting it.  I hope that I've finally convinced you.  (I think I must have just heard the 30% part and walked off.  I can't stand watching local news.)

It was less about the forecasters and more a rant about being soaked.  Don't you have some fixie-ridin' homo to deliver a beat-down to, or are you waiting for better weather?  You are aware that I'm coming to you house next week, right?  So fling your poo, funny guy.   [evil]

It's not that I don't take some responsibility for the fact that my new boots smell a lot like a cat's ass right now.  I did look outside this morning.  I did see that the sun wasn't out.  I even sort of considered taking my rain jacket right before I left.  It's just that I'm not happy about my poorly thought out choices and I want to spread the pain to all of you.

Yeah. And I plan to have most of the furniture covered in plastic before I leave.

Sounds more like a problem grasping statistics and probability to me. ;)

Yeah really MB, what's the percent chance of rain gotta be before you wear the 'stich?

That said, it was coming down fookin' heavy last night. Glad I decided to drive in my (leaky) car.

My 'Stich doesn't keep me any drier than the leathers.  You know how OLD that thing is?  ...and to answer your question, 31%.  But I'm gonna bump that down to 29%.

Does that stuff cause cancer in bees that are flying around the bushes in front of the window at REI where the stuff is displayed, Or does it just cause cancer to the people who wear a Stich and/or Auqua gloves that get soaked through even after an application?
