Back in the 80's I remember one of my Uncle's had an electric riding lawn mower (just like a John Deere you'd buy to mow your yard, nothing terrible large).

The thing had like 10 car batteries scattered all over it. It was way ahead of its time. Of course, it broke the first year he got it.

[laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

Used to have a neighbor down the street from me growing up with an electric push mower.

They had a pretty decent size yard. All I remember is riding my bike by laughing at him haul around like 500 feet of extension cord and tripping over it while trying to mow.

Oh the memories..........

my dad had an electric mower when i was in JR high. back then they only had the corded model.
those things where a complete PITA. dragging the cord all over the place made it REALLY disfunctional

hated it.
i guess he did too, because he replaced it with a gasser once my brothers and i were not mowing his lawn any more.
