Can't decided between a slipper or stock. My drum needs replacing anyway (see old post) . Any suggestions on brands, type etc?
Lots of options....
If you want slipper, the ducabike brand on ebay is an exact clone of the DP slipper, but at half the price. Light weight billet everything pretty much. its a 6 bearing ramp setup too instead of the 749R' 3 ramp, no bearing.
If you want to go with a regular clutch, then check out vee-two. I got a kick ass deal due to the conversion rate, paid about $170 for both light weight hub and basket. They are liquidating a lot of stuff.
Also check out motowheels they have a lot of different brands of clutch components.
I used a Yoyodyne slipper for under $1000. Liked it a lot.
Barnett stuff is good too. I kinda like the idea of the steel tabs on the basket.

He's not talking about the band. That's to keep the fingers from spreading/deforming.
The Barnett baskets have a steel wear shoe on the tab contact surface.
OH, i just took a look at mine, i never noticed it. Doesnt that cause greater wear on the tabs of the clutch packs?

Maybe.
It will prolong the basket life if you have aluminum plates.
Steel plates would pound those inserts to death you'd think...look what they can do to a stock basket.
