Title: Exhaust condensation on M1100?
Post by: golgofett on February 12, 2010, 07:29:11 AM
Is it normal to have some water drip out of the exhaust where the exhaust meets the midpipe?  It is happening on both side. I have noticed that my bike has done it a couple times, fairly quickly, but it always seems to be colder outside.  My 696 never did this so it causing some concern for me.

Yeah, that's normal, at least while warming up. There are drainage holes aren't there?

Remember, this is an air cooled engine so the only place water can be coming from is condensation.  Nothing to worry about; damp winter air is all.

Cool, glad its expected.  The drip is from where the slip-ons connect with the midpipe....both sides.
