Title: Brought home my new Monster today! Post by: Adamm0621 on February 13, 2010, 01:35:17 PM After over six weeks of waiting, my gear and parts finally came in and I was able to bring home my brand new 2010 Monster 696. The weather turned on me this morning so I trucked the bike home instead of riding it. The only thing I'm waiting on now is for my CF Termis to come in next month and hopefully some decent weather. Also, if you're looking for a new bike, I just got 2.9% financing for 60 months... hard to beat that. Enjoy the pics!

Title: Re: Brought home my new Monster today! Post by: Adamm0621 on February 13, 2010, 03:18:04 PM Well, as far as mods go, before I picked the bike up I had them do the tail chop, dropped to a 14T front sprocket and they put on some frame sliders as well. Since it's a 2010, the CF Termis aren't available yet, but I already ordered and paid for them and they should arrive at the dealership sometime in March.
In the meantime I'll ride when the weather is tolerable, and peruse the Ducati accessories catalog when it's not. The helmet and jacket were ordered through the dealership. Apparently the jacket was hard for them to find. Oh, and the kid did get to sit on the bike already and I helped him roll on the throttle while it was idling in the driveway. I will certainly keep my fingers crossed for better weather. I am tired of the wife catching me out on the bike making vroom vroom noises looking at the snow. :-[

That 2.9% does sound decent, but is that because you have good credit, or just a deal you got? I'm hoping I don't get screwed when I get my 848... Title: Re: Brought home my new Monster today! Post by: Adamm0621 on February 13, 2010, 07:21:26 PM I'm only 23 but I have pretty good credit, they said I qualified as Tier 1. I don't know what my actual credit score is. I know that before this program came out they offered me 6.5% apr so I decided to keep looking. But, the 2.99% is better than I was quoted elsewhere.
Title: Re: Brought home my new Monster today! Post by: mattyvas on February 13, 2010, 10:49:45 PM Congrats Adam,
Very keen, as I believe that is snow in the background. Most of us here don't even ride when it rains (me included) let alone when there is snow on the ground. That 2.9% does sound decent, but is that because you have good credit, or just a deal you got? I'm hoping I don't get screwed when I get my 848... I think there's a promotion going on right now for select models, and the 848 isn't one of the models covered. Probably helps to have good credit too, certainly can't hurt. Congrats on your new bike man! Title: Re: Brought home my new Monster today! Post by: Chucko9-696 on February 14, 2010, 06:58:36 AM Nice bike congrats [beer]
