Title: Where to get perforated exhaust pipe Post by: WetDuc on February 14, 2010, 02:15:39 PM Anybody got a lead on where to get perforated pipe for exhaust cans? I'm not sure of the diameter I need to get either. The endcap seems like it would take a 1.5", but I'm not sure what the inlet will want.

This company came up first: http://www.perforatedtubes.com/Default.aspx (http://www.perforatedtubes.com/Default.aspx) stopin, I looked at the JP Engineering website and they have some real nice stuff, but I'm a little hesitant to pay for shipping from UK to Florida. I was hoping Grainger or Autozone or McMaster-Carr would have something, but so far I haven't found anything that would work. I bought mine from some California chopper shop I can't remember who but when I went searching for you I found this, (searching under LA choppers) http://motorcycle-accessories.cruisercustomizing.com/search?model=&username=&w=baffle+&model_id=0 (http://motorcycle-accessories.cruisercustomizing.com/search?model=&username=&w=baffle+&model_id=0) Assuming you are coring cans, 2" dia is what you want, and when you cut the end caps off the cans make the cut deep so 2 tabs stick out (inside) the can. This is what you will center the tubing on. Title: Re: Where to get perforated exhaust pipe Post by: frame maker on February 14, 2010, 08:45:35 PM As mentioned above, LAchoppers...
http://www.lachoppers.com/search/index.html?searchtype=products&query=perforated (http://www.lachoppers.com/search/index.html?searchtype=products&query=perforated) and they sell some sizes of perf tubing through eBay to make your purchase experience very easy [clap] Title: Re: Where to get perforated exhaust pipe Post by: WetDuc on February 15, 2010, 02:19:42 AM Assuming you are coring cans, 2" dia is what you want, and when you cut the end caps off the cans make the cut deep so 2 tabs stick out (inside) the can.
