Hi all :)

As for video 3 - that is up to YOU! :D

I've just written a simple tutorial on where to find free software, & how to use it: http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=5861.0

Making movies is extremely easy (although the software can be buggy at times). I've also set up an account 'DMFmonster' at youtube: you can display your movies there, or make your own account! [thumbsup]

In this thread, you'll find photos that people are happy to let you use. Hopefully, more & more people will add photos, providing a nice little resource for those who want to make DMF-themed movies.

this is from shortly after i'd joined TOB and was going to go on a group ride to Devil's Peak with the MOB (then SFBAMHOMGWTFBBQIDKMyBFFJill?) and i went A WEEK EARLY.. wondering why no-one showed i had my fun and went home only to read.. uh.. "Next week? Hay, gaiz? Damn..."

Hi all,

just wanted to say a quick 'thanks' to everyone who has posted photos - there are some really great shots here already! As I said earlier, I'll leave this post up for a couple of weeks - some people don't visit the site every day; also, the time will give others a chance to pull out their cameras, maybe make a frame or two!

Thanks to everyone for submitting so many great photos. Feel free to submit as many photos as you like! I said I'd keep the thread up for a couple of weeks, so there's still plenty of time to get out, hit some twisties.

OK! Important insider info! The soundtrack I have in mind has a punchy chorus, so I am thinking movement/dynamic photos. During the quieter sections of the song, bike 'portraits' might be the way to go. There's a 20 second lead in to the song that would be suitable for closeups of mods - Joduc, I'm looking at you and your clutch cover here.

OK! Important insider info! The soundtrack I have in mind has a punchy chorus, so I am thinking movement/dynamic photos. During the quieter sections of the song, bike 'portraits' might be the way to go. There's a 20 second lead in to the song that would be suitable for closeups of mods - Joduc, I'm looking at you and your clutch cover here.

Vid 1 is done. I haven't added/removed any bikes - I've spent god knows how many hours trying to make it clearer though. I must have uploaded 50 versions - a curse on the house of Youtube: their crappy algorithm pixelates everything. Oh, and for some reason, it keeps losing the damn thumbnail pic Sad

If you have a youtube account, and vote for Vid 1, it will make it easier to find - and make the Forum easier to find too!

Hi Roy, thank you for your mail. I've four 'up to date' pics. Bike is still not ready (Reservoirs, clutch pressureplate etc.). Because I'm busy with my paintings I don't have much time to complete everything ontime for your video. This is how my Monster is at the moment. Thanks! I think the brakes look cool, and they work great, but if I could only have one, I'd take the suspension.

I found an "action" shot taken by a friend. Ok, I'm not dragging knee, but I like the contrast with the headlight. Not bad for a point-and-shoot camera.

He's the control rider (an on course marshall/instructor so to speak). They wear the t-shirts so you know who they are.

Here a couple of mine to contribute. This one cracks me up. I am a moto ref on the weekends now. Its cuts into MY racing, but hey, i get paid to ride it so it's not all bad.

Yes, and worked-over by Lindemann Engineering. Much nicer than the stock forks that didn't even have preload adjustment.

Update III:

Ok, I've done the best job I can with video 2. I have crammed as many bikes as I could into it. I would love to do more, but it flicks around too much if I only dedicate 2 seconds to each bike. The bikes in the picture below have been included - did I get everyone's names right? I found some photos in other threads - are these ok to use? [/b] Ignore the numbers - they're for my reference only. PM if there are any problems.

Many many people submitted photos, which was fantastic. In descending order of priority, I selected photos using the following criteria:

1. action photo
2. still photo with good sunlight.
3. can I fit the bike 'in' with the other bikes in each frame either side of it.
4. was the bike displayed in video 1. If so, try not to display it in this video.

Once again, apologies to those people who submitted photos, but whose bikes aren't in this video. This is only the 3rd video I've ever made - a more experienced person might have done better. Where is Chipo? ???

I'd like to do a longer version of vid 1, & will include as many bikes as I can. lol - one day, I might even include my bike! :P

I'm using Photo Story 3 to do these. If you use it, you MUST (repeat MUST!) convert the images to 24 bit bitmap images. If you don't, the youtube algorithm will fail to upload the vid. It only took me about 6 hrs to work that out. :'(
