Title: Need help from photo editing gurus
Post by: Monsterlover on February 15, 2010, 01:34:28 PM
I want to make a poster from this.

Like 20 x 30 or whatever it scales up to.

Walmart has a poster printing service (online) but the website says the resolution isn't good enough to blow it up to the size i want.

Can anyone assist?

Here's the original-

If I understand my CSI correctly, all you have to do is yell "Enhance!" at the screen repeatedly and the resolution will get a little better each time.

Actually, I don't think there is much photoshop can do about your problem. Anyway to get a better resolution of that pic prior to printing? If the pixels ain't there they just ain't there.

Hmm.

Yelling "enhance" didn't work.

My wife used some funky linux program to work on it, and it did help, but I'm not sure it will be good enough to print and come out well.

You can't create quality where there is none.  You can enlarge this image a few times, but it will get blurrier and blurrier as you do.  Your can compensate by replacing the text with larger fonts yourself, but you can't easily fix the art, short of re-drawing it.  You might be best off looking for a larger source image
