Post by: Tedonlin150 on February 16, 2010, 09:25:48 AM
Hi, I do not know much about clucthes. Do they ever need to be rebuilt? If so how often and what parts need replacing? Thanks

they need the clutch plates repalced when they are done.

it really depend on how you ride. you can lean the bike over and open her up to take a gander, but if your bike is running fine i woudlnt worry about it.

An '01 M600 should go 60K or more on the stock clutch w/o a problem.  If yours is slipping and you're using a synthetic oil, try a semi-synthetic the next time you change the oil out.  That should help but if the problem persists, you can go to a standard non-synthetic oil and that should do the trick.
