back in the unemployment line again.
crap.
:(
Bummer dude!
Sux... [bang]
Sorry to hear that. Their loss.
I'm trying to think of it as a blessing. It is was a small family run dealership..... and in the beginning I thought that was ideal. As it turns out, the family is quite dysfunctional, and all the infighting effects production, but they don't see it. I got my ass handed to me when I pointed out things that could be done to increase revenue's and moral, simply because it meant that the current management (the family) played a small role having created the current nonproductive climate. Ever since that day my position became one of fall guy, and being blamed for everything got old real quick. I went to work yesterday, but left right after I got there because I was throwing up. It was my first time off since starting there, and I was super nervous about taking the time off. I figured two thing would happen, one..... they would realize I was needed to smooth things over, or, they would realize things will go on with the drama and there's no point in having me around, saving them some cash. Well, I knew it was #2 when I walked in the door, so I put my head down and went at my daily tasks waiting for the call to come to the front office.
My Dad got outed from a large Italian maternity/baby products company for having too many ideas, they canned him very unceremoniously after he established the company's presence in the US. Very sorry to hear about your situation, I hope you get back on your feet soon.
Census Bureau is hiring for good coin. ;)
Sorry to hear about the sudden loss of income, bp. Hopefully you find a place that appreciates someone who can streamline processes and save money. Best of luck, man.
The car business can be like that.
Sorry Joel.

Actually true.
My Mom got bored while all of kids were in college or moved out and my Dad continuing to work 14hr days, so she got bored.
She is actually a licensed dental hygeniest but had no interest in it.
She got paid well, but they can make the beast with two backs you over really bad and aren't very nice, but maybe that was just her experience.
downside: you can get thrown in some really really bad make the beast with two backsing areas.
She walked the hood in South Bend (where there were murders frequently) with some other woman. That isn't very safe.
Long story short, she got pissed off at how the census bureau operated and she quit.
Sorry to hear about your experience, Joel.
Sounds like it was a blessing in disguise, but none the less sucks that you are now out of work. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Well-if he's lucky they'll send him out of bakersfield [laugh]
Sorry to hear that Joel. Unfortunately all I can offer is this: I gave Stu my monster as barter for him fixing Melissa's monster. That means we can go on a little putt-putt if you'd like. And if you wanna do it around here we'll get you all the Heineken and oyster shooters you want.
You're a smart guy, you'll find something better than a crazy dealership.

Sorry to hear Joel, hope something much better comes along soon.
Lame! It sucks to have your options limited for you, but this didn't sound like a good place to be in the long-term. I'd say treat the situation as such: an unscheduled favor they paid you.
Best of luck on the job search [thumbsup]
Sorry to hear Joel, hang in there [thumbsup]
Well, shitbiscuits. :P
Hang in there! [thumbsup]
it makes me mad that they canned you for trying to better their business [roll]
you are WaY better than that.
something better will come of this,
and if you are working for them when it does,
you'll miss it. ;)
Sorry to hear the news, but from what you said it sounds like you'll be better off in the long run. For what it's worth, when I've had a really shitty work situation it is the unbearableness that forced me to move on with my life. Maybe I've been lucky, but I've always ended in a better place, both career and personally, while the shit that I left continues to make those still there unhappy. Sounds like you tried to fix things but they weren't willing to change. Check back with them in a year and I bet it will still be an ugly place and you will have moved on to something better.
