Shared this a while ago over on SBN, thought you guys might find it interesting.
Two friends of mine helped me out a lot when I was going through my divorce two years ago. So, back then I decided to make them a little gift. They both had a habit of misplacing their Monster keys around the house, so I made them a keyring holder to mount on the wall, that way their Duc keys would always have a 'home' and stop getting lost. [thumbsup] So, what do you guys think?

The red is much more vibrant than it looks in the picture.
I would not only still lose my key.
I'd lose the holder, too :P

Lol, the holder is mounted to the wall. It's all 1/4" Acrylic, laser cut...
People who have tools better than mine make me angry....
Very nice! I'd take it as a piece of wall art
Great gift idea.I would like one for my wall.
I too would like one ;D
Me three [thumbsup]
Same here, that's a beautiful piece of artwork.
I love it, and want one!!!
also that design looks superbike to me, how about something along the same lines in design except a monster shape...that is if you decide to make some to sell!!!
That's awesome. [bacon]
That rocks! [thumbsup]
Thanks guys, glad you like it. [thumbsup]
Hmm, maybe I'll work up a few different designs and sell a few, I didn't expect so much interest! Yeah, that is the Superbike logo, I'll try and draw something up or see what Ducati has in the way of a Monster design.
Hey, I could always make some with the DMF logo. ;)
If you can incorporate the trellis frame in the design, the Monster design will be 90% done. ;D
I'd buy one. [thumbsup]
Just a suggestion, how about incorporating the key into the bike design? Make it sit on the holder so it looks like part of the bike?

Hmm, that's a possibility and (AFAIK) not trademarked, so that's a plus. Another iconic monster "design" I was working with was using the tank design/profile similar to the 'Superbike' logo, i.e. abstract but recognizable. Also not trademarked, so unlikely to cause me any grief if a made a few to sell.

That could be interesting. I was tempted to make it so that the key was inserted, like it would be in the ignition, instead or just hung on a peg...
I like the SBK version as is. . .
how do I get one?
Does the key pop onto that post? Could you make it with multiple posts?

The clear post has a groove cut into to, the keyring just goes over the post and sits in the groove.

Working on some now, I wasn't actually planning to make more but it seems like a few people would like one. Now, just gotta figure out how much they will cost. The original one is about the size of a sheet of paper, I was thinking of making some that size and some half that size, give a lower cost option. [thumbsup]
Awesome [thumbsup]
How does it attach to the wall?

The ones I made as a gift used double sided tape, kept it looking clean with no mounts visible. But, I could easily attach an acrylic nail-hook like they have on picture frames.

Heh, well, it's not mine - I just have access to use it. It's a 120 watt CO2.
