Please forgive my ignorance, but I'm a Duc newbie. I have a 2007 S4RS Monster, Testastretta. I've changed the oil & filter, as soon as I bought it, but is the proper way to drain the oil through the flat plate on the bottom of the sump?
I wasn't able to find anything that looked like a drain "Plug", so I took the four bolts out of the flat plate (About 2" square) on the bottom of the sump and drained it that way.
I also heard something about there being a "screen" somewhere that should be removed & cleaned?
Any Info would be greatly appreciated.

???? Now I'm only more confused? Seems like they were talking about a different model in that thread? Where's the link to this "Ducati tech video"??

The video is here:

But it is not an S4R, so it might not answer your question. The videos are great anyway, so I thought it is worth to put the link here again.
Thanks guys, after laying down on my back and viewing the sump from the bottom, I finally found it. It's truly a "Flush-mount" with the hex hole in it. I guess a combination of my old, artheritic old body, not wanting to get down that low, and looking for a hex-nut "plug", I just missed it and it threw me off?
Thanks again!
