Title: D Moto, Opens Monday 1st March Post by: auntymal on February 22, 2010, 12:56:49 PM George Tamine and Shaun Sutcliffe, two of the finest Ducati Engineers in the country will open the doors to "D Moto", specialists in Ducati care, on Monday March 1st, 2010. Both Ducati engineers are factory trained and have completed the Demosedici course as well. Shaun and George worked with the great Arthur Davis, George in the USA for the AMA Superbike Championships and Shaun locally during the ASBK campaign in '89 and '99 where the team was victorious. As well, both worked with NFI for many years.
The business is focussed on providing the highest possible level of technical expertise, on the one hand and advice, fine tuning and servicing, on the other. Included is race preparation, and both gents have assisted 9 times Australian Ducati Champion, Craig McMartin during his race career. "It's wonderful!", said George, "Shaun goes to Phillip Island to help Craig at the Aussie supers, while the finishing touches, here at the shop are finalised, on Monday we're open for business." he smiled. D Moto is located at Unit 4; 3-5 Harbord Street, Clyde. 0411 136 006 (http://) Title: Re: D Moto, Opens Monday 1st March Post by: mattyvas on February 22, 2010, 01:05:16 PM You beat me to it Mal.
My bike is with George and Shaun now hoping they will get to the bottom of the problem. Title: Re: D Moto, Opens Monday 1st March Post by: auntymal on February 22, 2010, 10:45:06 PM ...Matty that "problem" will be quietly shitting itself, knowing it's being hunted down by the problem equivalent of professional hit men!! BTW I sent a cool pic of Casey two wheel drifting INTO a right hander, before the apex, to go with the story but it didn't work? kr aunty
Title: Re: D Moto, Opens Monday 1st March Post by: mattyvas on February 22, 2010, 11:50:56 PM That's what I'm hoping.

Title: Re: D Moto, Opens Monday 1st March Post by: mattyvas on February 23, 2010, 01:46:00 AM Funny that young boy from Kurri Kurri.

Matty - I saw your bike looking a little sick. I am going to send them my spare ECU and they will give it a test on your bike. BTW what type of screen do you have on yours? Is it one of those zero touring screens? Did you notice any improvement over the stock screen? Title: Re: D Moto, Opens Monday 1st March Post by: mattyvas on February 28, 2010, 06:26:10 PM Hey thanks that would be great.
My screen is an Eagle Screen from W.A. very good service. It is a touring one and I think they call it the "wind flip" I have found it pretty good, it helps get the air flow off your chest. Thanks Matty... Title: Re: D Moto, Opens Monday 1st March Post by: loony888 on March 01, 2010, 12:37:02 AM i've looked but can't find that pic in a nice big hi-res version, anyone have a link?????

Nothing that can be printed. Title: Re: D Moto, Opens Monday 1st March Post by: loony888 on March 02, 2010, 11:34:37 PM bugger, thanks anyway.
paul. Title: Re: D Moto, Opens Monday 1st March Post by: mattyvas on March 03, 2010, 06:04:47 PM D-moto boys rock.
George and Shaun worked out my problem as you'd expect from the Countries best. Next service at 24k she gets a full tune, valve clearances and cam timing. I know there are some of us here who do these things themselves but somethings are not for me. So I'll go put 4 thou on in asap so she can feel even better than now. Title: Re: D Moto, Opens Monday 1st March Post by: loony888 on March 04, 2010, 12:02:42 AM well, what was the problem?????
Title: Re: D Moto, Opens Monday 1st March Post by: mattyvas on March 17, 2010, 11:34:58 PM See this thread also Wayne and Nat.
As said they are both great guys, fully Ducati trained technicians with more years experience than they might care to admit. Title: Re: D Moto, Opens Monday 1st March Post by: Wells on April 19, 2010, 03:07:25 PM +1 for the guys at D Moto..
The icing on the cake is that they seem to be pretty nice blokes too. - VERY impressed with them.. Nothing seems to be a problem. |
