Will a front wheel fitting a 999 be a bolt-on exchange to a 2008 Hyper 1100?
The hypers have rotors with 5 mounting pins... as do the 999
The hypers have 305mm rotors with 15mm offset... as do the 999
The hypers have 25mm axles... as do the 999
What am I missing here? Am I wrong about any of the above?

I think you're wrong about the rotor size and offset.
I don't know if that really matters as long as the hyper uses a 5 bolt rotor.

Wrong... with respect to the 999?
I assume I would just shim the calipers if 320mm or shim the rotor mounts if the offset is less?
edit:
See http://www.desmoworks.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_371&products_id=128 (http://www.desmoworks.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_371&products_id=128)
15mm offset, but 320mm rotors... you were right on the size of the rotor being different... so as long as I use the stock 305mm rotors I'm golden, ya think?

Yes.
The 999 used 320mm rotors and I believe a 5mm offset, but I'm not sure about the offset.
It may be that the wheel would work fine as it is. The forks/calipers on the hyper may be different. The hub width on the hyper wheel could be different too.

Humm... how'd I deal with that?? You're making me nervous DP!
As a side note: The last of the CF that I turn over to you was shipped last friday. Should be here this friday or saturday.

Not trying to.
Buy it and find out.
You can resell it if it doesn't workout.
FWIW the front BST listed for a hyper is not listed for the 999.
The hyper shares front wheels with the 848/10...1198 and M1100

Yeah... I picked up a 6" 996 series rear bst... 5-spoke.
So now I have to figure out which 5-spoke front to try. Guido did it on his hyper... but he doesn't remember anything about the particulars.

Well it does have to be a 5 bolt rotor wheel.
Maybe you can find someone to take some numbers off a 999 wheel
And so it turns out Motowheels will just set your front rim up however you want.
So I never got to the bottom of the 999 wheel question
They are the same, and both will bolt up to a s4rs without modding it. The rotors may be different, but the wheel bolts on. I know, I've got forget marchesini's from a hyper S on my s4r. The 999r forged wheel is the same as well....and it's the only oem forged option for an 848...which is the same too...and the 1098 front as well.... The 1098 rear is different (some) with the larger axle.
I wonder why BST lists different wheels?
