I was trying to buy a piece of exercise equipment off of Craigslist and the guy was a total douchenozzle. Really bad with communication - always with the one word email replies. Told him I had cash and would buy it and he sold it out from under me. Would love to send him so many emails his iphone caught fire and burned a hole in his murse (man purse).
Use his email address to "sign up" for just about every pop-up you see.
+1, just sign up for mad shit on a popup website. but if he has a good spam blocker like gmail, hes not going to get any of it.
fandamntastic idea duccarlos!
Google up various forms of internet ownage-you'll see a million ways.
Or you could just chase him when he drives while you're on foot. Then you wouldn't need the exercise equipment.
Also keep in mind he has your email address.

Yeah I almost fired off an angry tirade, but stopped when I realized that.....
i wouldn't do anything.
you want to spam a guy that basically at the end of the day didn't want to sell you something. he probably got a better deal from someone else. simple as that.
let's put it this way, as another member noted he has your email address too. and also its craigslist, if you don't raelize that 80% on craigslist are not the most motivated of sellers then that is something you have to learn.
not to be mean but general rule of thumb with craigslist, basically respond 1 time to someone and if you dont' get a good normal answer in the next email, its probably someone that is either not motiveated to really sell something or a scam. yes i know there are good deals there but soemtimes its not worth it.

Man, you should change your name to "piss on every thread." [evil]
Yeah, yeah don't get worked up over the small shit, I understand that. Yeah, yeah I know craigslist posters are amateurs and shouldn't be expected to behave like a real business interested in customer service. But lack of decency really chaps my ass.
Will I do anything? Likely not - really this mini-rant served its purpose - made me laugh and redirected my anger.
I got a several calls confirming my order for a free book of mormon.
when i found out who did it, he got signed up for a JW home visit. [evil]

this is why i have a craigslist specific email account and never give out my phone number until necessary...

I was gonna say the same thing.
Who cares?
If the moron is smart he has a dedicated email address for craigslist like I would hope most people do..........

Why doesn't that surprise me......
some asshole friend of mine "got me back" for a joke by signing up my email for some awful beastiality newsletter. I was furious. wrote emails to google asking how to block them (not just have them auto-diverted to spam) or otherwise prevent them from coming to my account... No avail.
he got me really good. all i did was tell everybody i could one night after a lot of drinking that he was on adult-friend-finder. (he was. he claims somebody signed HIM up for that one too).
[laugh] kind of funny all around.

Who knows, but if anyone is bored, ATO has all his contact info in his blog [evil]
also not sure, but i figured out a way to keep all the unwanted nasty stuff clear of my inbox eventually.
also, while doing unpleasant work, a friend told me that i'd be a lot happier if i got all my stress out at work by chasing people down, bounty hunter style. I was quite frustrated at the time, and so I thought this sounded like a good idea. So he was told me manhunt.com was hiring. Seemed reasonable, so I quickly logged on. Nope. No thanks, buddy. Don't have any interest in a gay dating site. Good joke. You got me.

It's craigslist, that shit happens all the time.
I still think a lot of the shit on there is stolen, but that is a baseless opinion based on no research or publications.
I have a ton of email addresses used for different purposes.
I've had a number of good Craigslist experiences, but this was the only one that didn't turn out so hot. I'll post the email conversation below:
I posted an add for some cleated Shimano cycling shoes, here was his first email to me:
Cal: If you still have the shoes, I am interested. Two problems: 1. Your price is too high. 2. I am in Mission Viejo and would need them shipped Can we do business ?
Me: Hi Cal, What do you say to $75 with shipping included? (Price was $100 originally)
Cal: As for price, I believe you when you say you paid more. My thought is the price should be about half the current sale price with shipping included. This comes up to $50 Does this work for you ?
Cal (again 30 minutes later): I planned on getting a check or PayPal off to you. So, do we have a deal?
Me: Hi Cal, sorry, been a heavy day at work. I'm not going to discount these 50% off my asking price and ship them to you for free. I'm sticking with my original price whether I sell them or not, frankly I'd rather they collect dust in my closet than get lowballed. Thank you for the interest.
Is posting "Cyrus is a whiny (because using harsher words would hurt his feelings)" appropriate in this thread?

I have only one email address and I have it printed on a bumper sticker on my truck. [roll]

I'm not the one whining, dude.
btw, we'll be in South Beach next month. Got any free time to come visit for an afternoon? We won't have a vehicle.

exactly, i expect the same in return and commonly get it in return from at least one person in every one of my own threads. so it all evens out in the end. ;D
yes i realize its a mini rant, but you have to remember its craigslist, try not to get worked up or annoyed at things on craigslist.
i've fallen into the same trap many times, being annoyed at people that eitehr didnt' respond to something i was selling or wanting to buy or werent' that serious with making deals, so i know exactly where you are coming from.

Next time don't start youe emails with "Greetings friend" :P
if you post someones email address clearly all over the internet......
A good way to get back at someone (probably won't work in this case) is if you know their name and address, go to Barnes and Nobles and pull out the subscription form for every magazine on the rack. Insert their info and check the "Bill me later" box. Drop them off in the mail box, and let justice be done. It also helps if you keep it going for a few years. [evil]
Keep in mind that Virginia has some pretty nasty anti-spam laws, including jail time.
