Post by: sbrguy on February 24, 2010, 05:30:44 PM
my 03 620 the brake light lights up when you use them but the normal "on" of the rear light is not working are there two bulbs in there or is some fuse broken?

single bulb, dual filament. The "run" filament could be out. Easy to unscrew and check!

The factory wiring connections back there - the blade style connectors, can be bent away from the connection points on the bulb if you manhandle it a bit. So be careful with that.

1157 or 2057 bulb will fit and work, *but* the 2357 bulb is the same external dimensions but built to handle higher vibrations so it'll last longer.

I tried the 2357 and still had troubles, so I installed thicker rubber bushings where the tail light housing bolts to the frame. Haven't had any troubles since.

tahnks for the info stu, but i think i'm going to use this as an "excuse" to buy the vizi tec led light, ordered that the other day.

with any luck if that thing is as good as the reviews i'm reading from otehr members i should be impressed.  but then again, it can't really be as bright as people are saying right?
