All week the weather forecast for this weekend called for warm(er) temperatures and clear skies. I was hoping to do a little riding, but I wake up this morning and it's snowing!!! [bang] [bang] [bang]
Now, even if the snow doesn't stick the roads will be wet and possibly icy. I wish I had a job where I could be consistently wrong and still make good money.
On a side note, I've never really lived or ridden someplace that actually has a winter. I've heard you guys using a battery tender to keep the battery charged. How long does the bike have to sit before this is actually needed. Weather permitting I'm able to ride a couple of times every few weeks. Is this something I should purchase or just hold off on until next winter?
Nah, you don't need it if the bikes only sits a week or two
Yeah, they never succeeded in their realising their goal of a "dictatorship of the proletariat" did they?
And as for getting Timothy Leary out of jail, that was a bit of a disaster too.
if the temp is a few degrees above freezing you shouldn't have to worry about ice.
your main worry will be the people staring at you for riding while snow is falling
ohh and any road salt that may be kicked up onto your bike.
re: battery tender
Yes, it is a good 25$ investment.
I use mine in the summer if I won't be riding for a few days, etc.
If your bike is only sitting a week or two, I wouldn't spend the money on a battery tender.
