Title: Fantasy League 2010 Post by: DosVerde on March 04, 2010, 04:02:12 PM Hi all,
A couple of years ago I was playing motogpmanager to make the racing a bit more interesting, but that site has bitten the dust. I have found a new site that is similar, http://www.fantasyriders.com/ (http://www.fantasyriders.com/) you get a set amount of cash to buy 2 riders in each of MotoGP, SBK and BSB. Depending on the option's you select when setting up the team, and how well you do (to earn money) you can swap riders though the season. As I said, it covers MotoGP, SBK and BSB. So it might not be everyones cup of tea, but is anyone interested in a Oz Monsters comp? (we have obviously missed the first round of the SBK's) BTW, it's free to enter. Title: Re: Fantasy League 2010 Post by: goldFiSh on March 05, 2010, 12:19:28 AM oh, and probably a good thing we've ,missed the 1st wsbk round - there is no way I would have picked some of those results..
Title: Re: Fantasy League 2010 Post by: DosVerde on March 05, 2010, 01:51:55 AM OK, I've set it up. Go to http://www.fantasyriders.com/ (http://www.fantasyriders.com/) and register, you will have the option to join a Personal League and enter the League Number. Full details are:
League Type : Public League Name : Oz Monsters League Number : 80108 League Password : Not Applicable Description : Oz Monsters of the DMF How to Play There are 3 options when creating your Fantasy Riders team in 2010. Strategy 1 - a starting budget of 60.0m, but no transfers permitted during the season. Strategy 2 - a starting budget of 50.0m, and up to 10 transfers permitted during the season. Strategy 3 - a starting budget of 45.0m, and up to 20 transfers permitted during the season. When creating your team you will be presented with these 3 options. Once selected, you are unable to switch strategies so choose carefully!!! Once you have decided which strategy to adopt, you will be able to spend up to 20.0 in any one series. Your choice of riders will be influenced by their fictitious 'price' which has been assigned to each of them for the purpose of this competition. By definition, a transfer is required when removing a rider from your team that is still racing in that series. All players can add riders to their team without penalty, regardless of the number of transfers available. If your rider is released, replaced, or injured, all players will be able to remove that rider from their team without penalty, allowing you to transfer them out and spend the money on a new rider. You will not 'automatically' score points for their replacement rider - it is down to you to make that change. This applies to all strategies. All selected riders will score points for your team based on their performance in each race, as set out on the 'How to Score' page. At a point later in the racing calendar, all teams will receive a 'budget boost' allowing them to add further riders to their team. Full details will appear here shortly. Please note that the 'cut-off' for any changes is typically 17:00 UK time on the Friday before each race weekend. Any changes (or new entries) will be prohibited until after the completion of the race. Title: Re: Fantasy League 2010 Post by: DosVerde on March 28, 2010, 12:09:20 PM OK, we have had our first round after the SBK race in Portimão last night, and there is already a big spread in the field. What hapened Matty, did Bull Racing forget to choose 2 SBK riders?
1st HCG Racing 90 2nd Underwater Corsa 66 3rd Coral Corse 10 4th Bull Racing 1 As you can see, you can still enter and you've got an easy chance of beating Matty ;) Title: Re: Fantasy League 2010 Post by: mattyvas on March 28, 2010, 12:40:48 PM yep exactly, didn't choose in time.
Title: Re: Fantasy League 2010 Post by: goldFiSh on March 30, 2010, 01:47:29 AM matty, gotta hate it when my missus is beatin you!

1st Underwater Corsa 107 2nd HCG Racing 101 3rd Coral Corse 51 4th Bull Racing 20 5th Team Terribad 0 Title: Re: Fantasy League 2010 Post by: mattyvas on April 05, 2010, 06:58:35 PM Oh and by the way I joined Formula 1 also.
Really have no idea about BSB. Least I'm not last and only just behind 3rd place. Title: Re: Fantasy League 2010 Post by: DosVerde on April 10, 2010, 05:48:22 PM Thanks for the BSB update Goldfish, I have been away for Easter.
The BSB stuff is just a total guess for me too, no idea. But we have the first MotoGP tonight, so I hope everyone has their team setup. Title: Re: Fantasy League 2010 Post by: DosVerde on April 12, 2010, 05:55:07 PM After a big weekend of racing with MotoGP and SBK we have a pretty good comp going, well as best we can with 5 entries. Theres a couple of battles brewing for 1st and 3rd already (I should replace Rusty on 10).
The leaderboard: 1st HCG Racing 200 2nd Underwater Corsa 174 3rd Bull Racing 87 4th Coral Corse 76 5th Team Terribad 0 BSB is on this weekend, then another MotoGP / SBK double header Anzac Day Weekend. Title: Re: Fantasy League 2010 Post by: DosVerde on April 26, 2010, 02:36:18 PM I was down the country for the long weekend visiting my new neice so I missed it, :( , but it sounds like Assen was a hoot of a race.
The top 3 also managed to get an identical 48 points each for the round, so nows probably the time to be looking at reviewing some of your riders. Knowing me if I do that i'll go backwards. As you can see Team Terribad is off to a slow start....... The leaderboard: 1st HCG Racing 293 2nd Underwater Corsa 222 3rd Bull Racing 155 4th Coral Corse 83 5th Team Terribad 0 Next race is MotoGP May 2nd at Jerez, then the BSB at Oulton Park on the 3rd. A couple of teams are suffering due to lack of BSB riders (who is James Ellison?). I'll have to do a countback at the end of the season to find the top 3 in each dicipline. The leaderboard: 1st HCG Racing 341 2nd Underwater Corsa 238 3rd Bull Racing 191 4th Coral Corse 108 5th Nipples McGee 43 6th Team Terribad 0 Title: Re: Fantasy League 2010 Post by: mattyvas on May 03, 2010, 08:36:33 PM Who knows who rides in BSB, I now none of the names ???
Title: Re: Fantasy League 2010 Post by: howcoolisjorgelorenzo on May 04, 2010, 12:40:20 AM Who knows who rides in BSB, I now none of the names ??? BSB is a fanatsic pathway to bigger and better things in terms of racing. You just got to look at the wss wsbk paddock and the like of Crutchlow,Rea,Haslam,Bryne,Davies,Camier,Andrews,Sykes, Toesland and then theres the others like Guintoli, haga,Kagayama,Muggeridge,Bayliss and Kyionari! In BSB the aussies are well represented with all round awesome guy Josh Brookes,Who has won a few wss races when we dominated wss with the likes of Pitty(champion) Parkes, and Muggers! Nipples McGee hasn't lived up to his own hype and has fallen back to last possie, but we'll give him a break as he was a late entrant. HCG (me) is under pressure from Underwater Corsa, so I had better pull my finger out, it could be a tight contest for first. Bull racing has slipped to 4th due to some good results from Coral Corse.
