I'm just about finished putting the crashed 2000 900, I picked up last year, back together. I need to get a new battery and new spark plugs.
Doing a search I see reccomendations for either a yuasa YTZ7S or a Yuasa YB16al-a2
Can anyone say which is better or suggest an equally good battery.
also, if anyone knows which spark plugs I need, off the top of their head, it would be much appreciated.
thanks very much in advance.
The Yuasa YB16Al-A2 is the exact replacement for the OEM battery, disadvantages are it is not sealed and it is big and heavy.
The Yuasa YTZ7S is a sealed (AGM) battery, and lighter. AGM batteries also maintain thei charge longer without a charge, and, of course, no electrolyte level or leaking to worry about. The negatives is it is only 6 amp hour, compared to the YB16AL-A2's 16 amp hour rating.
NGK DCPR8E part# NG4339 is the plug you want. The part# gives you the correct hex size and terminal.
If you order from http://www.ca-cycleworks.com (http://www.ca-cycleworks.com) you cannot go wrong.
thank you very much Howie.............the information is much appreciated
I prefer the YB 16 battery in my street bike.
They last a lot longer with less care than the sealed AGM batteries
has anyone had any experience wuith the bikemaster batteries? Motowheels and Monsterparts have them;
