Title: Woman's helmet
Post by: ducjon on March 08, 2010, 08:10:55 AM
Hey guys, I've got some company in town (female) and I'd like to give a few ride on my bike, however I don't have a helmet for them....

I ordered a shoei for my girlfriend, but it'll be a week to two weeks before it comes in..

Does anyone in the area have a helmet I could possibly borrow for a week? So i can show these girls how the ducati rides.

I live downtown, civic center... Please help a guy out!

I think if you're giving a ride to some female who's not your girlfriend you've got bigger troubles than just being short one helmet!  [laugh]

Didja suggest a three-up ride to your GF?  Cuz then you gotta be sure you're helmeted.  [evil]

BTW, are you in Fox Plaza?  There's not much residential around here (10th & Market), but there's relatively cheap moto parking nearby.

We're in the Argenta building next door, parking garage is attached to the building which is cool...

We have a car so the additional $ for the bike parking isn't that bad...

Is that the new one they just built at the weird penninsula between Fell and Polk?  That's a cool lookin' building.

You do know that "do whatever the make the beast with two backs you want" doesn't mean "it's OK", right?
Just checking...  ;D

I think it went something like...

"I'm gonna do this, is it alright?"

"Yea, why wouldn't it be?"

"Oh no idea, thanks!"

"No need to thank me, have fun!"

How in the world did you forget the follow-up . . .

"Wanna join us?"  [evil]

I like "I'm not angry..."

-really? Cause it looks like you're about to stab me and cut off my head...

Folks, just a heads-up on this ducjohn (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?action=profile;u=6440) guy. He borrowed one of our spare helmets and hasn't returned it...in 3 months. He's not responding to PMs or phone calls, and has apparently stopped posting (but is still lurking (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?action=profile;u=6440;sa=statPanel)) on the board. I'm normally a very generous person, and I'm disappointed that someone on the board turned out to be a thief. He's apparently had some recent court judgements (http://www.barbarycodes.com/deadbeats) against him too, so don't let him come asking for anything.

Glad it wasn't anything more than a helmet. The SFPD has been notified, has this guy's info, and the next time he gets pulled over it won't be pleasant.

So sorry to hear that man. You really hope that people would act in the spirit of the community here and not be douchebags.

Exactly. But hey, it's more annoying and disappointing than anything else. I'll take great pleasure in seeing this guy in handcuffs.

Thanks John. But at the end of the day, if you borrow something you return it.
