But I still want a TESI. Title: Re: Bimota,DB6 Superlight Post by: Travman on March 12, 2010, 08:27:25 AM So is this basically a DB6 redone with carbon fiber frame, swingarm and forks? The article list a weight of 158kg which is 348 lbs. I wonder if that is wet or dry weight? What is the price?
Carbon fiber frame (http://www.omnimoto.it/mwpImages/photogallery/2010/2274/photos650/bimota-db6-superlight_15.jpg) Carbon fiber swingarm (http://www.omnimoto.it/mwpImages/photogallery/2010/2274/photos650/bimota-db6-superlight_7.jpg) Carbon fiber fork tubes or are these just carbon fiber fork covers? (http://www.omnimoto.it/mwpImages/photogallery/2010/2274/photos650/bimota-db6-superlight_10.jpg) Looks sort of MV Agusta Brutale-ish in this pic (http://www.omnimoto.it/mwpImages/photogallery/2010/2274/photos650/bimota-db6-superlight_3.jpg) (http://www.omnimoto.it/foto/popup/43636/bimota-db6-superlight) Title: Re: Bimota,DB6 Superlight Post by: Bick on March 12, 2010, 08:43:50 AM So is this basically a DB6 redone with carbon fiber frame, swingarm and forks? If you have to ask... Title: Re: Bimota,DB6 Superlight Post by: ducducgooseme on March 12, 2010, 08:58:17 AM me want....me want... must not sell kidney for bike...must not.....

If I were to sell off DDGM parts... I could probably buy lunch at Taco Bell while I devise another way to raise the rest of the money... Nothing flows. Too busy. Pass.

[evil] Title: Re: Bimota,DB6 Superlight Post by: BastrdHK on March 13, 2010, 06:47:51 PM The fork tubes are wrapped in CF. I bet the CF frame and swinger have metal skeletons as well. Oh, and why would they not use CF wheels? [roll]
If your going to do it...don't do it half-assed! Title: Re: Bimota,DB6 Superlight Post by: kopfjÀger on March 13, 2010, 10:13:54 PM The fork tubes are wrapped in CF. Oh, and why would they not use CF wheels? [roll] The fork tubes are wraped in CF according to the article and the kickstand appears to have some sort of lame CF piece tacked on to it. However, the frame and swinger are all CF. The frame technology is the same as used on the Bimota DB7 Ononero detailed in the April issue of Cycle World. If your going to do it...don't do it half-assed! Title: Re: Bimota,DB6 Superlight Post by: Raux on March 14, 2010, 04:28:52 AM weren't we railing on another company for carbon fiber coating metal?

Do you think they should have picked a better demonstration piece than an electric blue jungleflage soap dish? |
