So did a bird shit in my case or is this condensation? I've done several 90 minute rides and it's still there. I've always had a little bit of this white stuff in the sight glass, but never to this extent before. My oil still looks brand new as I expected, it has less than 1000 miles on it and is Amsoil 20W40. Any ideas? Drain, fill, drain, refill?
thats condensation,, unless you have birds inside the engine.
It's normal. Don't worry about it as it's only condensation. I've seen it on every Ducati I've owned.
Condensation.
No need to drain at all.
Next few times you ride and the bikes nice and hot - just open up the fill plug briefly. Do that a few time and you should be set.

Please do this carefully! It will be a tad warm in that area. No charred hot dog fingers. *cough*Rod*cough*

I started doing that earlier this week. The problem is my commute is too short and I only get the duc to ~190 degrees. My past commutes would get it to 220 consistently. Thanks for all the replies.

Just have to take the scenic route to work! [moto]
It's condensation, happens in cool weather.
Next time you come home after a ride lean the 'bike against a wall so the oil level is above sight glass, problem solved, so easy.
I have nothing to add except that your oil is CLEAR!
If you'd just stop playing with yourself while you're oogling your bike this wouldnt happen..
