Title: help Post by: roxy696 on March 13, 2010, 10:18:38 PM I am wondering if anyone has had any problems with a 696 kick stand, mine keeps getting loose, and so I have now broken 3 sensors :'(. ?
Thanks for stopping today Dave [thumbsup] Title: Re: help Post by: heatherp on March 13, 2010, 11:50:52 PM Sorry can't help Nic. Maybe all that gravel riding is shaking it loose. ;D Have you posed the question on the main forum too? It's not something really basic like using spring washers and/or locktite is it? (my two favourite quick fixes)
Title: Re: help Post by: craigo on March 14, 2010, 08:36:23 AM That's wierd. There is a 696 with ~9000Kms on it in my garage that has never had a problem with the kickstand. Havent heard about this being a common problem on anywhere else either.

If that fails, however, my mechanical husband has a few other ideas for you. Just PM me. Cheers and good luck, Kaz. Title: Re: help Post by: roxy696 on March 14, 2010, 03:51:28 PM Thanks all, we already had used loctite and yep heather i do not think that the dirt road helps [bang]. Had been checking the stand up until the last couple of rides >:(, the shop is sending me a new sensor and I will get the bike up there sometime soon for them to check it over, so this time we are using loctite again and have a nut to put on the back as well so fingers crossed this is that last time i have any problems, the poor girl she has only done 20 000ks and i plan on getting a LOT more out of her :).
