Curious to see what you guys out there would expect to pay. I'm taking my M750 in for an oil change/inspection (the local Duc shop is having a special - $20) and figured I'd get the front/rear brakes and belts replaced. The shop charges $90/hr for labor. What sounds about right?

depends on where you live.
theres a few shops around my area within 100 miles. the prices are

$125/hr
$85/hr
$115/hr
$100/hr

Thats within 100miles of NYC.

$90/hr is about the average in my area - Washington D.C.

Dude does awesome work for about half as much as your dealer (Crooked River?).  His shop is fully stocked and he knows as much about Ducatis as anyone.  After the customer service and detailed work that I got there I'll never take my bike to a dealership again.

I have paid, over the years, as low as $60/hr and as much as $100/hr. If I had to continue paying $100/hr and was billed 'book labor', I would learn to do everything myself. I can stomach 100/hr if the mech is competent and lots can get done in that hour. There is often a difference between the way many motorcycle shops bill labor and most automobile dealerships bill labor - the incentive to turn hours may be there in both, but the community aspect is far more important for the small moto shop.

Crooked River has undergone some changes. The dealership and all the staff are still there - but the ownership and name have changed. Jeff sold the place to Carl Peshoff (who had worked there for years). Now it is Northern Ohio Ducati. It still has the same family feel and they're still customer centered. I've been really happy with how they treat me and with the work they do. No complaints at all. I was just curious about what the rates looked like in your neck(s) of the woods.

JD does everything.  Just know that it is out in the middle of nowhere so you'll either have to stay while he works or get a ride back.  It is well worth the 1.5 hour drive for me.  Motohio in Columbus is the worst dealership I have ever been to.

From the info you are getting, find the JD Horde shop and stick with it. There are a few really fantastic shops out there, and they seem quite regional. Pat Clark Motorsports in Vegas. DucShop in Atlanta. Advanced Motorsports in DFW. Ducati Seattle. Several California shops. Fox Performance. Nichols. etc etc. Find one you love if you are interested in the community aspect.

Crooked river - now Northern Ohio Ducati, is a quality dealer with very reasonable rates.

+1. Stan and Mike have always been top notch. They're only about 10 miles from me (they're on the east side, I'm on the west) also.

I will add in another +1 plus for JD Hord.
I have been a member of the Hawk GT List for a good long time, and that man can work wonders with a v-twin engine.

You're not going to find a more detain oriented man when it comes to making a bike run perfect.
