simple question I think ... I did a quick search but couldn't find a post. Its an s4r / s2r 1k (07) adjustable dial type break lever with a with remote reservoir, solid pin comes out easily enough but ....
I was doing a quick replacement of the break lever on a brembo s4r master cylinder on the weekend just before I was on my way out; after I took the main bolt out I was a little surprised that separating the the piston part didn't seem so straight forward .... I was afraid I was going to pull out the master plunger with springs & seals and have break fluid everywhere...also I tried ducati.com parts list but I cant seem to get on to there site ... (whats up with duciati .com?)
sooooooooo ........ how does the secondary solid pin attached to the plunger part separate from the lever? (just checking; this should be straight forward right?)

.... with a little more time I answered my own question by carefully taking the lever components apart. Yes it was easy ...
... Inside the rubber boot theres a spring that was holding on to the pin plunger; and the secondary round piece on the lever was stuck to the pin plunger ... if any of that makes sense ...

The spring seemed to be stuck on the pin; I left the boot on place and didn't go searching inside for loose clips . ..
... should there be clips???! The pin has 2 channels machined into it; one for the boot to the outside and an inner one the spring was stuck on ...
