I don't care for that, but don't know if that matters to you. And as beautiful as the 848 is, the 999 to me is even more stunning.

With that said, I am not a big fan of the exhaust. Congrats....I'm tossing the idea of getting a 996 before they become too rare to find.

Both bikes suck in HOT Texas weather due to the open BBQ pit out back they call an exhaust. ;D But I can't imagine parting with the trip 9. Funny, didn't like them at first (like everyone else!) but they grew on me and it looks great next to my 2 Tamburinis!! [thumbsup] [moto] Hope you enjoy it.

I love my 848, especially with all the set up work that I've done to it but it's not the animal that the 999 was. My impression of the 999 might be different now but at one time it wasn't worth dealing with the beast.
