I think, if you went and bought a new mts. than I could borrow it for a month or two, and see if I like it or not !!  ;D

no disrespect, MYTDUC,  just my normal sarcasm!!   But seriously, I would like to ride one and talk to somebody who's owned one a bit. I am also curious..could be an upgrade.  altho' I've been looking for a Monster for a second Duc.

I've checked the HD place for the new ones, but sadly they're still trying to get rid of 2 1100S Multi's... May have to go to a respectable dealership like Erico's... LOL

No worries mate, I know you weren't disprespecting me KRJ. I am just in a quandry. I rode a Hypermotard 796 a few months ago and was all up for buying one. I rode the 1100 and 796 back to back and liked the 796 more. It just seemed a little more comfortable since it didn't have those extra 300ccs . It was smooth and I liked it and it feels just like my dirt bike which I absolutely love. I have an old 1983 CR480 Honda and I just like the sitting positon of a dirt bike. Then this new Multistrada comes out and it sounds like it would be perfect for my use. If I get the Multistrada I would probably get rid of the 907 as I would have no reason to keep it because the Multistrada would fill all those uses.  If I got the Hypermotard I would keep the 907 for trips etc.

I don't think the Multistradas have landed yet. Don't even know if they are on the boat yet. I will check with PJs here in Albuquerque.

KRJ,

The Multistradas will not be at the Albuquerque location until the end of April. However, I missed last night's traveling Multistrada show. I guess Ducati has one going around the country for people to look at and throw a leg over. Here is the home page from PJs discussing the event I missed last night. Dang it.

Well, at least You can still catch the Swap Meet!  When I get time, will have to persue the schedule of the demo tour and see if it's coming to Colo.  [moto]

Here is a great Video of the new Multistrada tested by Motorcycle News in the UK. They loved it. They said it is a new concept in motorcycles. If Motorcycle News likes it then I think a lot of people will too. You got to see the video

I hope the weather holds off for this weekends swap meet. Looks like we may get some more rain/snow. I am going to my storage shed tonight to get more parts and magazines etc to see what I can take up there. Got two bikes to sell, a 1975 Yamaha Enduro 175 with less than 1500 miles on it and a 1970 Suzuki 250 Hustler.

Late April is the same timeframe Larry and Kevin at the local HDmotorsports shop gave me today. Kevin just got back from training on the new Multi and he is stoked. A few weeks ago the new BMW S1000RR was the greatest bike on the planet, but listening to him today, it sounds like the new Multi has already unseated it in his opinion (though he hasn't ridden one yet).
