Kung Fu =/ Karate!!!
WTF?!?! For that fact alone I'll say that Forbidden Kingdom is a better Karate Kid remake than the actual Karate Kid remake. At least they got their martial arts straight. Maybe I'm too sensitive about it but I find it a bit offensive. It's kinda like calling a chink a nip. >:(

Wow, cause that movie was poor on a massive scale.
+1 They got it all freaking wrong. Saw the trailer and shook my head in disgust. [bang] Try again Hollywood.. no, wait, Dont. Let the sleeping dog lie.
Does it matter? They are all yellow:

sac
/kidding folks, just looking for an excuse to post more muppets
//sorry for the shitty song
///but hey, Muppets!!
yay Muppets
I like Jackie Chan, so I'll go see it. Whether it will be anything like the originals...I don't really care. I'm also a big fan of Will Smith, so I wish his son good luck. As for the muppet video, that's the first time all day that my son has sat still for three minutes straight. I may have to get some old videos of the muppets.
I saw that and wondered wth they were thinking. But what's worse is someone will go to watch it.

yes, yes. we arr rook the same, too.
:edit: ummm, otherwise... I like jackie chan and all... but it's still wack.
Sadly Jacky is getting old and not getting as much action as he used to. :-\ I guess he needs the US air time and couldn't get anything better. All of his US roles are bit parts except for Forbidden Kingdom. Kinda sad. His old stuff was kick ass. Wheels on Meals is still my favorite.
well, on the one hand, jackie's got nothing to prove to anyone anymore :) he is already epic
I still don't think I need to see this movie, though
his old stuff was kick ass simply because he was more physically able to.
Did you not see the outtakes? all his stunts are 100% chinese style. What that means? Simple, theres no consideration for safety. shit like that would kill a man his age!

Exactly. How do you think his nose got so big? :P Also if you watch closely, his foot gets bigger in most of his movies cause he breaks it doing a stunt and then keeps going with a cast. Jacky is pro like that. Or was. New insurance things won't let him do his own stunts all the time anymore.
The outtakes/end credit are just icing on the cake for those old school Jackie Chan movies. The Police Story series is my fav!

sigh.
kids.
he was doing movies and stunts well before police story could be thought of as 'old school'. shit, bruce lee hit him with nunchucks
I know it's "nunchaku"
The old Jackie Chan / Samo Hung flicks were the bomb. I wracked my neck trying to headstand flip over a picnic table a la Samo.
Jackie's stuff lost a step when he had to start working with Americans. Or Canadians... Rumble in the Bronx was shot in Vancouver, and it's pretty much a disaster.

I know I know. I saw all his older stuff, too. Like Drunken Master, Fist of Fury, etc. But they were all the same... poor kid training hard to fight off bully to revenge the death of his father. I like his 80's stuff a lot better. :)
