This is THE prototype that started all the Monsters. The grand-father of all of Monster-dom.
It's owner, Miguel Galluzzi is the designer of the original Monster in 1992.
I saw this bike @ Pro-Italia's Cafe-Desmo last fall but haven't had a chance to post these up and forgot about them....until this afternoon.
Enjoy! [drink]
BTW: This is a wooden tank. Yes, wood.

Okay, you gotta give more explanation about the wooden gas tank. Is this bike a mock up? Is there a fuel cell inside the wood?
As far as I know, this is THE prototype so it's not a runner and the 'tank' is made of wood. It didn't look like it had EVER been ridden BTW...
Oh, and both wheels had casting dates of late 1992...
Stu,
This is great. Thank you for sharing!!! [thumbsup]
Celli
If that was the prototype, they kept the production version pretty damn true to form. Thanks for posting.
mitt
Do the wooden tanks grow too? ;D
Great piece of history there Duck stew! thanks for sharing. [thumbsup]
Thanks for the pics Stew. [thumbsup]
Gave me the chills just looking at the original Monster. Thanks for sharing!
cool beans!
<<sigh>>
Reminds me a LOT of my dear, departed, '94 M900.
sweet!
Super cool Stu!
Funny thing about the cans, just like automobile design trends (boxy to curvy with sharp defined edges, to swoopy smooth forms and back again, etc...) the geometric section exhaust is popular these days. Dunno if I'm making any sense. :D
That's really cool Stu, thanks for posting up!! What I wouldn't do to be about to start a collection of museum piece ducs like that one... Maybe some day...
i love the comment about the ski boot!
