Title: Here's Johnny
Post by: JohnnyDucati on March 20, 2010, 02:27:09 PM
Hey kids.

How's everyone been?

I'm sorry I've been absent from the board.  Just a few technical difficulties kept me from logging in.  Dumbass me couldn't figure out it was my firewall settings.

I'm glad to be back.

I hope everyone's well.

And does anybody know how Ryan is going to squeeze all those bikes into his garage?  Geesh.

JD

Dunno.  But if someone's willing to fund my efforts I'll buy a bunch of bikes and try to figure out the optimal storage capacity of a garage.  [cheeky]

I have all the bikes in the garage... and the car... so if you ever want to stop by for a beer and to see my great tetris skeels... feel free to come on over. I think you know where I live.  [thumbsup]

Isn't your car a Mini?  That doesn't count as a full car BTW.

The jeep fits in the garage if I want to. The mini is just much shorter. The left side of the garage fits a car... the right side is the bikes.  [thumbsup]   I just don't get to park my jeep in the garage.

Thanx for stopping by John. I hope you heal up quickly and can ride soon.  Maybe you need a SBK to make things feel better.

He stopped by to show how his Sidis can handle certain activities... not so well it turns out.   :'(

So he was fire walking in his sidis and has endured a horrible top of the toe burn and ankle blisters?

Anybody who has listened to his Jersey gas station story knows that John enjoys the telling of these stories... plus he does some pretty good accents... I'll let him tell this one... although, the long and short of it is that he fell off of his monster while it was cornering.  [bang]

he fell off of his monster while it was cornering.

Well thank god for that!  For a minute I thought he crashed or something.

Johnny is having some PC issues... here are the words from his mouth...

"Oh, by the way, yeah, I had a little falling down episode on the Monster. In addition to general dumb-shittedness by the rider, some cold tires, cold asphalt, being in a hurry, and over generous throttle while leaned over were key factors. The rear end washed out, a high-side was looming, I put my down my right foot ala dirt bike style only to have my foot run over by the back tire. The tire RPM's were sufficient to burn a quarter size hole through the Sidi boot leather at the instep. It also was sufficient to suck me off the bike. I believe this also had the effect of "righting" the bike, preventing the imminent high side. The speedymoto sliders did a great job in preventing a lot of damage when the bike fell over and skittered down the road. I am surprised at how rinky-dink, mostly cosmetic, the damage is to the bike. Me? I got a little asphalt loofa in a few spots here and there.

I had my foot X-rayed at Kaiser. Just a honking sprain, no breaks anywhere, thankfully.

So, that's the scoop. No hypocrisy intended: Let's be careful out there shall we? ATGATT. I cashed in a shit load of karma chips and got off (somewhat) lucky."

Take care peeps.
