Title: Reusing Wheel Bearings
Post by: WOLFENSTEIN on March 24, 2010, 11:31:30 AM
Can someone tell is it possible to reuse wheel bearings after they have been pulled out (with bearings puller), are they still OK or are they terminally damaged in pulling process, as there is some force used on inner ring of bearing, during pulling them out. Thanks in advance  [clap].

If you've got the option, replace them.

The cost of new bearings is small compared to the hassle and cost of dealing with a failed wheel bearing.

yep, and maybe danger too if a bearing were to fail suddenly...not usually the case but have heard of it
