Title: 1990 Honda CB-1 CB400F For Sale Post by: hoyden on March 25, 2010, 08:49:06 AM I'm in Tempe, Arizona - this is also posted on Phoenix CL: http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/mcy/1659898798.html (http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/mcy/1659898798.html)
I've had this bike since 2001. It's an awesome motorcycle. One of the original "naked" bikes and a true cult hero. If you aren't familiar with this amazing bike, here are a few reviews for your viewing pleasure: "the CB-1's smile-per-mile quotient is right up there with the best of them, thanks to its taught suspension, a riding position comfortable for all but the tallest riders, and an incredible little engine that just begs the rider to turn the throttle." - Cycle World - July '90 "...for new riders the CB-1 is great: the delivery's so smooth that anyone fresh from CSM's diapers could ride it without soiling anything but their licence." - Ride magazine- August '96 "Lightning quick steering and low-slung weight mean the CB-1 can be tossed into a bend like it's your last. A slight push through the pegs and it'll tighten its line further." - Performance Bikes - June '99 The CB-1 has a 30.5-inch seat height so it's perfect for people with a shorter inseam. (I'm 5'4" - almost 5'5" I swear and this bike fits me great) It's a 400cc inline four cylinder little powerhouse. She perks up at 8000rpm, but really gets going at 10,000. Redline is at 13,500! This bike is all stock, except for a custom GPS mount (TomTom GPS included!) I won't lie - it's been down. The master cylinder has a scrape. There are a few dings on the tank and on the muffler. I put new Michelin Pilot Powers on a month ago and they still have the nubs. Sticky! New chain/sprockets with only a couple hundred miles on them. Oil change with semi-synthetic oil and new filter a month ago. Comes with a spare gas tank (not shown). Clear title. I hope this bike can go to a good home. Great for a beginner, great for an experienced rider. I'm asking $2400 obo. It's worth it. This bike will get you lots of appreciative looks, good discussions, and years of riding enjoyment. It is a pleasure to ride, handles like a dream in the twisties and loves zipping around town. ....
