Probably doesn't suit you guys - I was planning on heading south for a long ride tomorrow but gotta get back by mid arvo' to pick up wifey from her "pamper" weekend at sanctuary cove  [roll]
Any interest out there in a southern ride  ???

I will be in but i will need a chaperon ,May be Dez, if we can get him out of bed.

I want to be home by 10:30, got things to do later during the day.

Otherwise I might join you Wayne, but I was heading out at 8am for just a couple of hours.

I'm gonna stay south, cause it takes 2 hours of riding in suburbia to get there.

I'm going for a spin with my two boys, but thats in the arvo, taking them up Macquarie Pass to the pie shop, but like I said thats tomorrow arvo.

RNP is about 20 mins from my doorstep vs Old Road which is 60 mins from my doorstep x 2 plus ride
means I'd have to be there at 7am to back for 10:30.

So sozza but I'll stay in my neck of the roads and catch peoples for a groupie spin in a couple of weekends.

Had a nice little, too short spin through the park and back.
Saw Wayne (I think) on the way back through, not much traffic in either direction.
Found another friend at Bald Hill who tagged along on the way back.

Oh and saw Mr [leo] neat the Apple Pie shop with hair dryer in hand waiting to catch the unaware rider.

Yep, was me Matty.

Quite an interesting ride. Saw the crashed Yamaha as reported by LHL in the other tread - it was VERY tightly wedged under an armco barrier. Also saw your friend with the hair dryer hiding in the bushes in the "new" 60kph section. And to top it off there were trucks all over Mac Pass painting new white lines ...on a Sunday no less (they were probably getting the road ready for a certain Victorian visitor).

Ya reckon??  [roll] Be nice if they give the  [leo] the day off whilst I'm there too.  ;D

STRIKE 2 FOR JUKIE

sorry guys i have been ummming and arrrhhing to tell your guys. The ride didn't go as plan today. The heading pretty much says it all. Jukie and Me and Betty and Mark had a bit of a meeting with the gravel a massive pot hole at Kulnura Service station. So Betty and Mark came off rather alright, not so much Jukie and Me :'(. So a call to the insurance company in the next day or too, to sort stuff out, and then im just waiting for the pain and the buising to reach it maximum, probably in the next day or too. Gotta love those Italian leathers i got  [thumbsup]

We all meet at mobile Berowra
Nick on an awesome Duc, Kaz in the cage with Dom junior.
And Nicks mates 3 or 4 can't remember on rice rockets.
Me , Betty and Jukie, that girl's turning me to drink  [drink]
Headed up to Wollembi for coffee  [coffee]

A tad foggy up through the old road no  [leo] all day what i saw.
And set my best land speed record on the way back ;D ;D. [evil]

Now the day did not go of drama free. :'(

i think i have proven that 5km in that area is too slow and the bike has no power to keep it upright and straight.  [roll]

well that sucks! hope you two are alright!

well at least i didn't need a spleen removed oohh thats right i dont have one anymore . im limping a bit but that did not stopping me from doing my womenly chores this afternoon. Yes the way im going i just might be buried in them. ohh well they have lived other crash, good for them and me. Might need a new helmet though its the 2nd crash its had too . 

Must say Robs was quick with taking photos so i will post some up soon. 

Poor Julie, Jukie, Mark and Betty. Damn those gravelly pot holes  >:( and damn those who don't fix them!  [bang]

Bambino and I also set our own land speed record in the cage. Bambino was too busy playing his Nintendo DS to even notice.  [roll]
We pull in to the garage and Bambino asks "Are we home already?". That's kids for you.  :-\

Shit Jules, hope you and jukie are better soon. Gravel sux, I know I've been there and have a nice tank ding to show for it.

Went down to Mt Bulli escarpment Mountain bike riding with a bunch of mates
for a bit of a dirty downhill day.

That's what it felt like to me in the short distance I rode it.
Nothing looked bent so should be an easy fix.

On another note :
It's a bit of a worry when 50% of the riders on a trip goes down....... :o

I hate reading about people going down - for whatever reason. I'm just glad that all are safe and no major injuries.

Hope you recover quickly Jukie and that everyone's pride & joy's are also back to their shiny best soon!

sorry to hear about your little oops.. hope all ok, as someone said, bikes are easy to repair.. did a big ride on the weekend as well, out to Lithgow, Ilford, Sofala, Oberon & Taralga for the night.. great roads and can recommend it as a good weekenderr. Taralga Hotel is a great place, good food and nice people.. came back via Wakefield and watched some bike racing for a few hours then home along the back roads...

pride i dont really give a dame about is just my little jukie that make me sad, and i can see the insurance is going to be a nightmare too, bloody QBE are going to make things hard for me [bang], so im going to let Mark sort it out. The guy was raven on about how Frasers at Concord will look after me, yeh right  [roll]

QBE are not easy, good luck with it all...

thanks ozducati, i just haven't got the patience for them, they don't want the customer to get the  good service they just want them to get a cheap price and a dodge workmanship [bang] [bang].

Haven't had to do a claim with QBE but they have always had the cheapest premium for me.

same here with QBE, i think the guy i was speaking to was a bit of a D##K H**D, as Mark said the other people in QBE were a bit nicer and understanding. Anyone would have thought the guy has shares in Fraser or something
