When I was training to become a furniture maker my teacher told us that before we start cutting anything using any tool that we should picture what would happen if the material, the tool or our hands were to slip. If that slip causes your hand to move in the direction of the sharp stuff you are doing it wrong. I've had remarkably few cuts on my hands since taking that to heart even though I've made some monumental make the beast with two backs ups using very powerful woodworking equipment. But you can replace pieces of wood and broken machinery.

/he also told us that with all the dangerous equipment we used (shapers, table saws, molders, etc.) that it would be a chisel injury that would make him take one of us to the hospital
//guess what some dumb ass stabbed himself in the wrist with [roll]
///chicks only dig scars if there is a cool story about getting that scar
////make up a story! [thumbsup]
Seriously - put a disclamer on the thread topic. That's gross and not what I want or want anyone else to see from work.

Did you faint? It kinda makes me want to eat steak for dinner tonight.
Sorry, disclaimer added.
so were you making something cool, atleast?
I've had a lot grosser finger injuries then that. Hardly worth the disclaimer.

No.. i was making a sturdy cover and back board to keep some printouts from getting bent up in an envelope during shipment... I'm always more careful when im doing something cool....
