So two things happened yesterday. First, shortly before one o'clock yesterday afternoon, my mother-in-law succumbed to lung cancer and passed away. Second, the dealership called and told me that my CF Termis had finally come in. My wife and I are initiating the postmortem process of making arrangements and filling out paperwork, but the call from the dealership was a friendly reminder that even in times of grief, one must remember to continue living, and to continue living well.
We have friends who came up to see us and to help out around the house, and we have multiple family members who will be arriving to lend a hand over the next couple of weeks. I have an appointment on Tuesday to get the pipes installed, and will take the opportunity to bring my friend who is jonesing for an H796 to the dealership with me.
I hope everyone else is having a better week. Adam.
I'm sorry for your loss. :( ((hugs))
:'(
sorry for your loss.
take it easy with the bike these coming weeks. you'll have a lot on your mind and be a bit distracted.
My condolences on your loss. While the good things in your life don't balance out the bad things, you have the right perspective on it all. All the best to you and yours...
Actually, the riding is an escape from it all. When I get on the bike, I'm so busy watching traffic, listening to the RPM's, shifting, cornering, and simply riding that I forget about everything else for a while. After Tuesday, I'll have the extra loud pipes to help drown out the bad feelings too. :)
So sorry ,
I've lost both parents to Cancer .
I almost didn't make it through my Dad's passing.
It hurt the most. Maybe because Mom went 1st and I had Dad for 10 more years .
Life goes on .....as painful as it may be.
Ride safe.
Dolph :(
