Hey, everyone.

Dropped by the Triumph/Ducati dealer several months back to see what type of deals there were...great deal there on a demo Daytona 675, decide to pull the trigger even though it's not EXACTLY what I want, but the deal is too good to pass up. Get there with the wife to do the deal, I find out the financing can't be used with the demo...can you say bait and switch?

I am ready to leave but say to my lovely and supportive wife, if I am going to pay more I want to get what I really want.  I look past the demo, and see a beautiful lightly used S4Rs.  "See, something like THIS".  So we do it.

Then we buy the bike.  Ha, couldn't resist.

My mentality on mods is I'd rather take stuff off than add it, keep it tasteful, lighten it up within reason, try to resist adding mods with only cosmetic value unless relatively inexpensive. Here are the mods I have done...I think it was just about stock, other than the mirrors.  Let me know if you see anything else that may not be stock.  Here's what I did:

Tail chop...was pretty nervous.  Decided to take the money I would have paid the dealer to do it and spend it on an angle grinder.  It paid for itself, though learning to use an angle grinder on my new Ducati could have been bad!!

Vizitech taillight in smoke ...looks great, used their bracket too.  Great to deal with.  Sold an Ibanez to pay for it...well worth the cash.

Removed the emissions canister, passenger pegs and bracket, front reflectors, stickers.

Pazzo levers (great)..got the shortys, thought I made a mistake at first. After the slave install, loved them.

Evoluzione clutch slave.  feels great, easier lever action, a bit harder to find neutral.

Black radiator and oil cooler covers from ebay...love them.  Rule violation #1 here.

Cheap billet alternator cover and oil filler plug from ebay..love them.

Carbon front sprocket cover from ebay..looks good, but fitment blows.  Rule violation #2 here.

Black spray can....painted the clutch cover, heel guards, headlight brackets, fairing screen black.  the best mod, but the screen didn't go great.  Looks okay.  the rest looks great.  My clutch shall not be opened despite the peer pressure!  Love the looks, not the sound. I know, I know.

Poorducrider supports.  Seem good, haven't ridden with them yet.

Steibel horn.  Sounds great, but didn't have a good experience at the dealer and don't like the install.  Maybe someone will fix it for me when I get more work done. Last time I drive to south OC when ProItalia is no farther.

Upcoming mods...boomtubes, fatduc, maybe a new seat.  That should be it other than someone maybe cleaning up the wiring for me.

What sucks about it?  The right heel clearance..absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.  The seat is horrible.  Wish the pegs were a bit lower. Not crazy about the size and type font on the tank...wish it looked more old school Ducati. That's it!  Overall, I love it.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay? You can PM me if you don't wanna plaster it all over the board. I'm just curious. There's one for sale locally, I want it real bad but I'm not sure what the going rate is considering there aren't many to be had these days.

Q: your levers seem to be adjusted way too low? Loose elbows with a straight wrist, then an effortless fingers reach for the levers should be it.... (just thinking about your wrists)

Yeah..the levers are a work in progress.  When I can ride I will dial it in.  May have to pull out the Dremel, as those locating pins are cramping my style.

Can you tell I like different exhaust setups, but can't make up my mind which one to stick with?  When I sell the middle system, it'll be time for something else :D

you might try and SBK fender like I did or an older 916 style fender.  They fit and look better than the banana up front.

Whoooee I like that second pair....nice indeed.  I think I'm going boomtubes...open rear wheel. lighter weight. good sound.  Don't need more power and can't justify spending over 2 grand for pipes....
