Title: Short and Long? Post by: scduc on April 01, 2010, 01:47:20 PM Who runs short brake and long clutch levers? I want to go short on the brake, cuz not much pull is needed. But with the clutch, i need to pull it to the bar and Im afraid my other 2 fingers will get in the way. Any pics? Does it look goofy.
Title: Re: Short and Long? Post by: Billyzoom on April 01, 2010, 02:58:22 PM I was just in this position...if it were function only I would have done long clutch/short brake. I am typically a function first type, but thought it might be too funky. I went shorty both sides...I'd rather go long on both sides if I really needed the length on the clutch. Too anal... :P Do your thing though!

For other brands that dont have some sort of crash protection, they will break when you fall unless you get shortys and i dont particularly like the feel of shortys. Title: Re: Short and Long? Post by: DarkStaR on April 06, 2010, 04:54:02 AM I have shorties on both. I brake with 2 fingers, and clutch with 3...kinda 4 sometimes. My clutch pinky either rests on the ball of the lever, or is just off the lever... pretending it's on the lever.
Title: Re: Short and Long? Post by: battlecry on April 06, 2010, 05:39:57 AM I have shorty/long CRGs and I like them like that. To me it is more of a feel thing.
Title: Re: Short and Long? Post by: pennyrobber on April 06, 2010, 06:47:36 AM Another short brake long clutch setup here. I usually 2 finger brake and 3 finger clutch and probably could have gone short on both, but the extra length on the clutch lever is nice when stuck in traffic.

I'm about to buy a new set of levers and was wondering the same thing. I have only ridden with the long stockers and was curious about how people felt with the shorty clutch. Thanks!!
Title: Re: Short and Long? Post by: Smiles on April 07, 2010, 05:38:12 PM I run shorty pazzo's on both brake and clutch. I personally like the shorty's because i really only use one finger for both braking and for the clutch.
Title: Re: Short and Long? Post by: psycledelic on April 10, 2010, 08:31:07 AM To be honest, you can probably 4 finger the clutch with the shorty. It is big enough (unless you Chewbacca mitts). If you ride with handguards in the winter, the shorties make the handguard fitment a lot easier. I had to modify my clutch handguard, but my brake guard fit perfectly.
Title: Re: Short and Long? Post by: Billyzoom on April 28, 2010, 01:25:42 PM I think I am going to switch to long levers, or at least a long clutch lever...I thought a short brake long clutch would look odd, but these looked good.
