Title: "Monstrosity 620" by TreMoto, LLC
Post by: TurboMonster on April 03, 2010, 03:25:23 PM
I did a couple searches and didn't see any threads about this bike...

Now Featured on DucCutters...

Ultra cool Monster trike! The vehicle's capabilities both on and off road are amazing, doing things you'd never expect out of a 2 wheeler or traditional 3 wheeler.

Wow, an extra wheel in the front!  Now, if we did that to the back, too.... oh, wait...

Weird. And neat.

How does the front suspension work?  I can't tell from the pictures.

I had a Piaggio MP3 that had two front wheels that could articulate like the ones on this bike.  It has insane front end traction, but does fishtail quite easily.  In the end, I didn't like it very much and prefer the classic two wheels.

Cool.  I think it would look a lot better if they eliminated some of the stock monster details on the rear 3/4's, and made it totally custom.

Mechanically I'd give it a 8/10 on the coolness factor.

Aesthetically however, I have to give it a score equal to that of: "Fail"

A few observations:

1) Lane Spitting is out.  [bang]
2) Ape hangers would look hilarious on it!  [cheeky]
3) It is a Monster of sorts - I admit to that!  [thumbsup]
4) Lots of man hours and manufacturing for something that has already been done by several companies.  [bang]
5) Frankly, IMO it's just a bit fugly and sad that a Duc was used.   [bang]
6) If it's going to be taken off road, just ride a quad.
7) Overall, for what it's worth, it's not a bad Franken-bike.  [thumbsup]

That's awesome - looks like it was already being engineered when this topic came up: http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=32093.0 (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=32093.0)

I think it turned out great and is a worthy design for those who crave a more stable platform for confidence or due to injury.
