Ducati Monster Forum

Well, it's official.  I will soon be (once again) a New Mexican.  Plans are in the works and it will take a couple/few weeks for it all to iron out but I'm moving to Albuquerque.  [thumbsup]

I might not have a Ducati that runs/rides when I get there...but, I do have a lot of pieces/parts and some pretty good creativity.  Won't be long and I'll be riding again on a Duc.

We'll leave the light on for ya.

Keep an eye on Lorenzo Wednesday night, Stu. As you know, he's there with an actual Ducati for Italian bike night...Go figure?   :P

I'll be close enough to DitR to make it for sure, but part of the financing of this move is the sale of my M900 so I may be bike-less for a spell after arriving in NM.

Workin' @ PJ's as a service writer.  Have a couple other options I'm working, but I doubt they'll be more $ so I gave PJ the green-light.

For now, stayin' w/GratefulDuc (HunkyPunk) but will eventually be lookin' at rentals.  $ will get saved up and I may be a purchaser later, but for now...rentin'.

I may need some help w/the new (for me) build...  7/8" mild-steel tubing w/0.087" wall thickness?!?

Isn't that the threshold for "hero" status? Since I am bored, I thought it would be interesting for Cloner to be stuck at one short forever, and for Bonfy to forever mock him about achieving hero status.

Sort of like "Groundhog Day".

When and if I get close to 500 posts, I will slink off to No Moto Content and make a whole bunch of nonsense posts (the norm over there) and become a hero in absentia.

Well, I stand corrected.

I was hoping you bought the bike we started for Keith Jardine (UFC fighter) when I was running the Ducati dealership before he got the contract with H-D. Guess it was wishful thinking on my part.  I will say there is a bike project sitting at PJ's for 2 1/2yrs. that looks very...very similar.
Hell...now that Stew is here, maybe he'll wanna' resurrect the "Dead Duc".

Yeah I had a guy doing some welding for me on my bike that went to work for PJ. I was a little bugged when he put an exact copy of my rear rear susp. design on PJ's bike. The projects ended up in different directions so it's cool.

But thats enough thread hijacking STEW IS IN TOWN, and I don't imagine he'll have to buy his own beer for a while so hit us up Stew!! [drink]

Hey Pasta very cool bike. I wouldn't be surprised to see others use that shock placement it looks great.

Definitely, yours is almost done, that one still looks exactly the same  [bang]  [laugh]

When I was working on it, the rear end was locked out (rigid) & was using a Progressive 3in. shock off a mountain bike right under the seat. I knew Keith was only going to use it for promos, so I was trying to keep it very minimal.
Next thing I know, I walk back into the shop one day & it was completely different, WTF, right?
The tank Jeff did has cut outs, like a Street Fighter so the T-bars set up in the tank when at lockout.
I am definitely lovin' on your bike for sure, can't wait for more pics...or see it in the flesh.

Back on topic : Had breakfast with Stew & Lorenzo this morning @ Java Joe's. he's fired up & ready to take on the world...or Abq. for now.
