I've been having problems with quoting and modifying posts for the last coupla weeks. When I try to write a post that take up more than the entire screen, if I move the cursor down so that the screen should automatically scroll down, the screen scrolls down for an instant and then scrolls back up so that I can't see what I'm typing. It's not like the cursor will move. It'll stay where I put it. It's just that the whole screen (the screen in the middle of the page) will scroll upward so that I can only see the first part of the post I'm modifying.
For example, if I were to quote this page and it took up more than the entire page, I wouldn't be able to see what I was typing under the quote. It would keep scrolling up to the top of the quote.
It happens on two different computers on two different networks.
You might also want to report what OS and browser you're using.

I got nothing...I'll ask Daryl to look at it.
I guess it's a function of our SMF version which isn't going to change until they come out with a stable public version of the newest software.
I guess you should use fewer quotes in the meantime. ;D
I'm having the same problem as Spidey and it makes responding with a quote very difficult. It will also do the smae thing if your trying to post something long and it doesn't fit in the screen even if you're not quoting.
Like I said to Spidey,
this is a function of the software and not something we're going to get in to re-writing.
It simply isn't worth the time.
If it is that much of an issue either split your posts...
or learn to be more...
succinct. :-*
