Title: M1100 decal removal Post by: MonsterTom on April 06, 2010, 06:12:11 AM I assume decals are typically cleared over. Is there an easy way to remove the tank decals, or will it require sanding, etc?

Thats what I did on my 696... Not sure if the 1100 is different, but it worked perfectly. Afterward, use some glass cleaner to remove any excess adhesive.

Do not do that!Unless I'm mistook, DoWorkSon's 696 is a Dark, the dark tank skins have no clearcoat applied over the top of the decals and so it is possible to carefully remove more or less as described above. But all the stock M1100 colours are clearcoated so its not so simple. I dont know of anyway you can remove the decals without local destruction of the clearcoat, which AFAIK will require the whole thing re-cleared. The parts will need to be completely refinished. Title: Re: M1100 decal removal Post by: MonsterTom on April 06, 2010, 03:00:45 PM Thanks guys, sounds like I'll just leave them as is!
