Title: Corbin or Sargeant seat Post by: braando on April 07, 2010, 11:22:53 AM Hi Guys......can anyone help me or guide me to where i can purchase either one of these seats for an S4R , not sure which one, any input ?
Many thanks. brian Title: Re: Corbin or Sargeant seat Post by: Betty on April 07, 2010, 12:33:18 PM There are plenty of people on here that should be able to advise you on the Sargeant.
When we got Jukie's Corbin we couldn't buy direct and had to go through their Aussie agent (VPW in Melbourne at the time). There should be other threads on here or certainly on TOB discussing the pros and cons of each. The Corbin is quite heavy, feels firm but is apparently quite comfy ... but it has no storage. The Sargeant 'feels' softer, sits slightly higher and has a storage cylinder underneath. Title: Re: Corbin or Sargeant seat Post by: mattyvas on April 07, 2010, 12:49:54 PM There is good and bad in both seats.
I inherited a Corbin when I got my S4Rs, it was not to my liking. Very firm and low at the front. No storage underneath as mentioned but I thought it was quite light. I had a Sargent from my previous bike that I had kept and it went straight on the new bike. It is softer has a nice raised hump at the front of the seat with the already mentioned storage tube (very handy) The seat does get a bit heavy especially when you pack the tube full of bits'n'pieces. My choice would always be the Sargent, you can buy direct from them. They are around $450-$600 I believe. Buying a Corbin, I am not sure really haven't ever looked at them. Then you could always look at the other option, the "Virgin's" seat but you might have to sell your first born to do so. They are closer to $1000, enough to make your eyes :'( Title: Re: Corbin or Sargeant seat Post by: ozducati on April 07, 2010, 12:50:57 PM +1 , Sargent seats are always well made and nice and comfy.. the alternative is to contact these guys and ask them to re make your seat to a Sargent style or whatever you like...

Some good info here http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=2513.15 (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=2513.15) Tightarse option too is a bit of sheepskin, and the bicycle shorts. Title: Re: Corbin or Sargeant seat Post by: heatherp on April 07, 2010, 09:43:35 PM You have to get sargeant seats from Australian Motorcycle components in Qld $600 (not the price on their website) and it takes forever.
