Title: Fox Sports has lost MotoGP? when did this happen? Post by: CairnsDuc on April 08, 2010, 03:28:14 PM I just went looking on Fox sports for the MotoGP coverage and I notice it does not have this year
is that correct? Only coverage from Ten and One HD, great 10 thousand friggen adverts. Looks like I'll be watching the Superbikes a lot more this year! Title: Re: Fox Sports has lost MotoGP? when did this happen? Post by: vossy on April 08, 2010, 04:19:52 PM Bummer.
there's always live streaming on motogp.com (at a cost of course)if your into that sort of thing. Title: Re: Fox Sports has lost MotoGP? when did this happen? Post by: mattyvas on April 08, 2010, 09:14:18 PM Yep I think One HD/Ten signed them up on the same sort of deal as Formula 1.
Coverage of qualifying and pre-race show along with race coverage. Personally I can deal with the Ad's so I don't have to pay to watch, 95% of the time I record it anyways so ad's get FF-ed. I guess I am the flip side and am happy there is more on free to air TV. Sorry Title: Re: Fox Sports has lost MotoGP? when did this happen? Post by: signora monster on April 09, 2010, 01:14:53 AM Matty, I totally agree. We don't pay for tv here. [thumbsup]

I'll turn the sound down, then pick up the eurosport coverage when it appears on RU later in the day Title: Re: Fox Sports has lost MotoGP? when did this happen? Post by: CairnsDuc on April 09, 2010, 11:00:53 AM According to the One HD TV guide
9AM Sunday MotoGP Qualifyng 2:45AM Monday 125 Racing 4:00AM Monday Moto 2 5:30AM Monday MotoGP We have PayTV and preferred the coverage (No adverts during the race) and only on rare occasions did they not have live coverage Free to air would bury it at all hours of the night and morning. Free to Air has a big cry about losing Sport to Pay TV, but they have a very bad history when it comes to showing sport that they do get exclusive, I have lost count how many times people would complain to the Channels about a particular sport or match that a channel promised to show, they would promise prime time, then it would move to late night or early morning, or more often than not it would be hacked down to a half hour highlights package (with 10 mins of advert space) with a voiceover done by some Kid on work experience and then buried between religious programs at 3 am in the morning. Oh, and of course they would not add that info to the TV guide, so the people desperate to see the said Match or program would miss out. This was all talked about in the Free to Air Sport inquiry held by the Guvment a number of years ago. Channels like One have made it better. But I still Don't trust em! It's a conspiracy I tells you! Screw this, I'm going to go put on my Tinfoil hat and I'm going to get my gun to shoot down the Satellite trying to read my mind Stepping down from the soapbox now, going inside to have some more of those nice pills, and a lie down. Title: Re: Fox Sports has lost MotoGP? when did this happen? Post by: Stinky Wizzleteats on April 09, 2010, 11:26:45 AM According to the One HD TV guide <snip> I totally agree. I've kept the sport package on FOX only for the bike coverage. And maybe a little rugby/league/epl as well. ;D Free to air always fux up sport coverage. Something always happens when the ads come on. Fuk Greg Rust too. Fuk him & the horse he rode in on. Bring back Darryl Eastlake I say. ;D Seems to me that you either need an IQ or some other HD recorder. Then just record it and FF the ads. & try not to come on here for someone to spoil it. Title: Re: Fox Sports has lost MotoGP? when did this happen? Post by: CairnsDuc on April 11, 2010, 01:30:17 PM Well, I will say the coverage they gave on One HD was better than I thought, Mumbles seemed to find his voice
and Rusty wasn't to bad, Still prefer the Pommie guys doing the call, but such is life. And the entire race with no adverts and in High Def! :o Bit of a surprise that. If they keep this quality of coverage or better, than I may just be a convert. I recorded it on the Playstation 3 which allowed me to fast forward what little advertising that was present. overall I would have to say to One HD's coverage [thumbsup] Lets see if it continues all season :-\ |
